It's not the technology, per se, that I'm concerned about. It's the lack of long-term studies on the particular vaccines that they are pushing.

Something rushed to market, authorized as emergency use, is not something I feel comfortable taking for myself when I've already had COVID and am not in a demographic that is likely to die from it.

The mRNA Vaccines Are Extraordinary, but Novavax Is Even Better

Persistent hype around mRNA vaccine technology is now distracting us from other ways to end the pandemic.

First - eliminate the complete f*cking immunity given to the manufacturers.

Second- just like every other drug, require the manufacturers to inform the public who is at risk and what are the potential side effects.

Remember, these drugs are only approved for EMERGENCY USE. Why would anyone put this in their body when there’s a 99.99% chance they'll live if they get the underlying disease?

But, what we all know is that if they eliminated the complete f*cking immunity these manufacturers have been given, they would pull these drugs from the market immediately. If that doesn’t make you step back, rethink your decision, and say WHAT THE F*CK DID I DO, then you are a f*cking moron.

To me, this is just plain common f*cking sense.

Yes, I would 100% take it. I take the flu vaccine every year. I don't like getting sick and I don't think anyone really does.

It won't get rolled out or approved by the FDA and people will 100% know that this mRNA vaccine stuff is political and nothing about health.

I would 100% take a vaccine if something comes up deadlier than the flu. I’ve known too many people with it, I’ll take my chances.

At this point covid is minimal risk to healthy people. It isn't debilitating like polio. The death rate is currently lower than the seasonal flu. Furthermore, I've had the virus and carry antibodies.

Why would I take a vaccine, of any kind, for a virus that I've had and carry natural defense mechanisms?

This whole vaccine push is looking a lot like a money grab. Take the vaccine, but you can still get and transmit the virus. Take the vaccine it prevents death, but it may cause undisclosed side effects or reactions. No thanks

I don't want a vaccine just because once exists. It's a beatable virus. Take your lick and you're rewarded with the best immunity possible.

If they had a vaccine (a preparation of a weakened or killed pathogen), that was approved by the FDA, I’d take that.

At this point if I thought the media would STFU about it I’d try an injection of drain cleaner. The local news is like a half hour mRNA infomercial.

We DO have a non mRNA vaccine available, and it's from Johnson & Johnson.

Yes. I'm more interested and open to a fully tested and authorized vaccine meeting the same testing and authorization requirements of the vaccines I have already taken over an experimental vaccine.

J&J is not mRNA

I am not worried about mRNA vaccines. I suspect the doses are MUCH more consistent that ones made from weakened virus.

mRNA is much more precise and it doesn't come with all the other RNA a weakened virus would have.

JFC. You honestly think this swill being peddled is on equal footing with YEARS of clinical testing?

It’s the mRNA process that troubles me. Oxford-Astra Zeneca’s technique seems a more “natural” way to stimulate our body’s full immune response. I’d consider it.

I’d consider Novavax if it gets approved it supposedly uses a method similar to the flu shot.

I read it protects against variants and is a more traditional vaccine

It’s not that your points have no merit, it’s that you could say the exact same thing about almost every drug on the market.

Generally you don’t have long term effect data in a drug pre market.

Generally you cannot sue unless they suppress information about side effects. (Covid manufactures can still be sued for “willful misconduct”)

If you made every pharmaceutical company liability for side effects they didn’t know about, you wouldn’t have pharmaceuticals.

We don't know this...

Because the false PCR tests caused a number swell in rona cases last year, we have no basis to assume it is actually more effective other than listening to the Empire and their subsidiaries, the profitable drug manufacturers.

We know people are still dying from the rona, even with the vaccine, and no comorbidities (my military buddy's dad died yesterday from it). And we know the vaccine kills people outright. Those are things we know...efficacy rates are sold with the vaccine...

Much like the cigarette manufacturers sold health information with the cigarettes.
