re: Woot! drain the swamp: Trump lashes out at Jeanine Pirro after she drops Reflecting Pool

Trump hates when something doesn't go the way that he wants it to, but all he said is that he disagrees with her on this 100%. Can people in the same party still not have complete disagreements over certain things? Did he say she needs to lose her position or that she is terrible, etc.?
She said, "Given all of this newly discovered information, it is difficult to attribute the widespread damage to the Reflecting Pool to vandalism, let alone to establish that fact beyond a reasonable doubt." Her decision sounds reasonable. People may have still been doing things to cause damage, but it would be very hard to prove considering the evidence of the contractor having some flawed work which would obviously seem to cause more widespread/significant damage.

Why did she drop the charges? I don’t get it. Making an 86 47 in the grass of the White House property seems like a pretty because big deal to me. I know if I did anything to my neighbor’s lawn, I’d be prosecuted. And this is the White House we’re talking about
This is a near-perfect example of what I thought would happen when I saw the post because it is exactly what Trump had in mind when constructing the post. He conflated two things that are different but then got a portion of poor-context readers to follow right along down the path. I knew it would happen; I just didn't expect to see it here, nor quite as blatant.

Like Tyrion told Dany, if you kill people who are devoted to you, no one will be devoted to you.
He needs to quit backstabbing his own people

He needs to quietly drop the whole reflecting pool thing. His ego simply won’t let him admit that the contractor he hired wasn’t very good and they damaged the pool even more. Which is why they made up this silly vandalism case.

Lebron having racist graffiti on his fences at his house was more believable than the nonsense Trump is pushing

This is basically the entire MAGA platform at this point

It seems like he is in a bubble now where no one can give him bad news.

I still respect and admire Pirro despite her disagreement w Trump on this
Also - this is something I really don’t care about

My bad, did not take the time to read it all the way through. You don’t have to be a dick about it

What a buffoon! He is really unhinged and not mentally well. I don’t what label you would put on whatever personality disorder he has.

Trump is a gigantic pussy. See how he’s getting dog walked by the irgc.

I don't think Obtuse was trying to be a dick to you, to be fair. Like he said, Trump's post was intentionally set up to mislead by conflating the 8647 grass vandalism with the pool vandalism.

It’s shite like this over and over again that has led to people getting tired of Trump.
What I don't get is why so many people focus on inconsequential tweets. If it doesn't involve policy, then it's way down on the list of things I care about.
It's easy for me to ignore, so don't get the outrage. I give an eye roll and carry on.
Trump is a flawed person, but before him, the people were given carefully curated choices for office. When our choices are another establishment-approved gladhand or a gritty individualist, I'm taking the less-refined option.
Complaining that the guy elected to disrupt the establishment doesn't fit the mold of what a politician should sound like doesn't make much sense to me. It seems like it should be expected.
I'm honestly more tired of hearing the complainers than I am of Trump's dumb tweets. I think pervasive complaining about unimportant topics signifies an underlying softness in society. It's feminism bled over into political discourse.
Complain about bad policy, loss of culture, erosion of freedom - not how Trump said mean things about someone with whom he disagreed.

I don’t get how this board still rides so hard for him
Not everyone bases their support for a politician on social media posts. Some of us consider policy, realistic objectives, accomplishments, and the alternatives to be important.

What a thread title!

But seriously, if Pirro had a case, she’d bring a case. She would love to.
And yet, she’s not willing to trot out the dog and pony show another time, without having the benefit of facts supporting the charges.
So we can see she’s tired of losing in court, just to appease Donald’s claims. Which appear to be baseless.
Trump saying he disagrees is nothing new.

How often has she lost in court, for it to be the case that “she’s tired of losing?”
And also, Im pretty sure that she’s well beyond the point of her career wherein she’s vigorously seeking to pad her numbers. Lol
