I haven't seen the entire record of the immigration proceedings. I'm not sure it's available for public viewing.

It's an addendum to the SCOTUS case, a fact which itself is interesting.

Our government had a choice between protecting American citizens and deporting a criminal to face consequences of his own actions. They chose the criminal. Shocking (sarcasm).

Thanks, again NC. Quick perusal of that looks to be what I have already seen in the link I provided above.
Unless I missed it, that record doesn't have Abrego Garcia’s form where he applies for withholding. I don't know the law on this. Would he have been limited to one country in that application.
Shouldn't there be some minute entry summarizing the Judge's Order...as in "Applicant is granted withholding from deportation to X"?

I'm just waiting on SFP to show up and tell us we are reading it all wrong. Should be here in any minute now.

One of the reasons I was arguing about administrative error vs a mistake was because the error is implying there was a problem with a process or paper work.
A mistake generally implies someone being careless.

The gang that was supposedly a threat to him was from Guatemala wasn't it?
This makes sense.

Is any of this going to hinder the efforts of our brave congressional freedom fighters in their efforts to bring home this law-abiding Maryland father?

His CAT claims failed because for the CAT, the torture must be by government. He failed to show it.

Yeah, the quote looks like it is ok to deport him to Guatemala. Doesn't say anything about El Salvador.
Surely you will come back and address this

You can keep saying this, but there is no credible evidence this guy was a member of a gang.

I think the judge might have just gotten confused and typed the wrong country. Or was using copy/paste.
Guatemalans comprised the largest group that he dealt with.
Oh, and just sayin':

Why do people say so factually incorrect stuff so confidently. Withholding of Removal is literally statutory meaning it was created by Congress. A judge doesn’t just get to just decide where a person can or can’t be deported, they have to follow statute.

What do you think this thread is about?
We have a thread about 2019 hearing, screen captures with no dates, and a link to the full record of a 2025 hearing.
Just pointing it out.
and, worth noting, if there was no due process how have there been THREE hearings?
additionally, for those (not you the808bass) screaming about due process....
let's talk about "due", as in what is Garcia due, before we talk about the "process". I promise you, he is due much less than even the worst citizen.

If this is true then the DOJ is straight-up incompetent.
