I know you’re out there. I see your dv’s on every anti-Islamic post- but never a response; never a defense.
So, get in here… anll 5 of you, and educate me on how Islam is not a political ideology that is bent on world domination.

I don't know how any defender of the Constitution could argue in favor of Islam. It's a theology that is in direct conflict with our system of government. The only reason it exists in the USA is our mistake that they wish to coexist peacefully.

I am not a follower of Islam, nor a fan in any way. However, the 1st Amendment says they have a right to be here and practice their religion.
If any individual muslim breaks the law, they should be arrested and prosecuted. If convicted they should be punished as anyone else would be. No more, no less.

I don’t know enough about Islam to have an educated opinion about it. That stated, I reject violence and any religion and / or ideology where violence is promoted or accepted, other than in matters of physical self-defense.
I believe there are Islamic extremists who do promote / accept violence. I have always read or heard that there’s a difference between mainstream Islam and extreme Islam. But I have never done the research to learn about it.
These comments neither promote nor defend Islam.

In addendum to my previous comment, I think we are in the, "benefit of a doubt" situation in the US. We grant the Constitutional protections to all citizens regardless of religion out of the belief that all men are free and those rights are endowed by the Creator.
The issue is that Islam is an ideology that does not make those same suppositions and is pretty clear about not tolerating other ideologies.

It's a tough one. Freedom of religion is in the very first amendment. And banning certain religions is what third world shite hole countries do.
But most Muslims in America seem to have no intentions of assimilating. I will not "defend" Islam.
But the failure to assimilate is overridden by the first amendment and also the fact that banning religions is what third world shite holes do, so anyone who supports banning Islam in America basically has the simple-minded mentality of someone who lives in a third world shite hole country, as opposed to a country with strong democratic norms and rule of law.

Their very practice of their religion runs counter to our constitution.
For a quick example I'll proffer their treatment of women as second class citizens and their ritual mutilation of young girl's sexual organs.
That ^^ is Islam.
