Just don’t put to much stock in the result yet, we really have no idea what the false positive/false negative rates are yet and there is almost certainly cross reactivity with antibodies to other corona viruses we’ll known to cause the common cold.
In other words, if you were altering any behaviors before I wouldn’t stop doing so just because you test positive. Just as an anecdote I’ve already taken care of two people who had false positive antibody tests because they are currently admitted with COVID-19.

Soooo masks work?
In the controlled hospital setting yes, because at most hospitals all employees are now wearing masks and we can localize the patients with COVID-19.
Among the general population, decades of data from around the world shows you need at least around 80% of the population wearing masks at all times when out in public to decrease the vital burden enough to in and of itself limit spread.
Again, regular surgical masks don’t protect you. They protect others from you, and so enough people have to wear them to remove most environmental virus in the air and on fomites to actually grant protection to everyone.

Why did you and your wife spend/throw away $250 on a test of dubious validity (most yield questionable results; even the accurate ones still may not provide useful info) that will not be of any benefit to your health? Curiosity doesn't seem like a sufficient to get such a test.
IF someone insists on antibody testing for Covid 19, do yourself a favor and have testing done by labs that have an EUA (Emergency Use Authorization) for the FDA. Most tests do not have the EUA. None have been validated by the FDA. There's a lot a sham testing going on, as well. If you're going to get tested, research your Dr's test first. For those who are contemplating similar testing,
Cliff's Notes version:
"As important, those who use an antibody test need to understand its limitations and use test results as just one piece of data to inform decision making. All tests can provide at least some false results. Even a high-performing antibody test when used on individuals in a population that does not have many cases of COVID-19 infection – a population with low prevalence – may produce as many or more false results as true results because the likelihood of finding someone who has been infected is very small. This doesn’t mean the test is bad, but rather recognizes the inherent limitations of these kinds of tests. Therefore, it may be necessary for some individuals to have two serology tests performed to generate reliable results. That is why antibody tests should only be used as part of a well-conceived testing plan and why the results should always be interpreted by appropriate experts."

OFfice neighbor of mine has given his plasma to Johns Hopkins for testing. He’s a recovered CV’er.
At this rate, I’m not sure if I would rather have already had it without knowing or not.
Glad you guys are healed up

I personally don’t give a crap. I paid the price because it’ll help my wife feel a little better about loosening up a tad. I don’t care if it’s right or not. I just need it to be positive.

I had the same symptoms. Had the test done last week and got the results yesterday. I was negative for the antibodies

What was the procedure like?

Results are negative for both of us. Dammit to hell.

Yep, his money. He can do whatever he wants with it. I'm sure you have spent money on something others thought was stupid.

I’m in my 30’s, healthy with 2 kids. Had a terrible cough and dizziness back in March. All 4 of us. Kids were down for about a week. I was 2 weeks and my wife’s cough lingered nearly 3 weeks. Fairly convinced we had it. Cost me about $250. I’ll update in 3-5 days when the results come back! Really hoping we had it!
Would a positive result be exclusive to Covid-19 infection or would it show as positive if any other Coronavirus infection occurred recently?
