He's hated by the corrupt Political Establishment, which contains more than just Democrats. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were against Trump during his 1st term, and same thing with John Thune and others now.
The corrupt system's worst nightmare is having a President whom they do not control. They controlled Bush, Obama, and Biden. They would've controlled Hillary Clinton if she had won.
But, they don't control President Trump.

I know a shite ton of Trump supporters who don't like him personally but they will crawl over broken glass and rusty nails to vote for Trump. In general they like his policies, his love of the nation and his tenacity. I guess it's policy over personality, one has to make a choice.
