i highly doubt you went out 3 times + over a decade to vote for him.

I vote on who I think will do the job the best for any election I vote in: general, state, local, what have you.

Let's see:

2016:

Hillary or Trump or Johnson

I voted for Johnson and over the next 4 years, wished I'd voted for Trump.

2020:

Biden or Trump

I voted for Trump

2024:

Kamala or Trump

I voted for Trump

I'm registered as a Republican but don't always vote for Republicans. I vote for who I think is the best candidate. That's how I've always done it.

Why would I?

Obama once said. "There is no red America or blue America. There is the United States of America."

He also said, of roughly half the country, "It's not surprising that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion... as a way to explain their frustrations."

Trump is one of the most divisive presidents ever. Maybe the very most divisive.

But let's not act like Obama was some great uniter.

No idea. He agrees with much of their economic agenda and has done more to get conservatism out of the GOP than the democrats ever did.

The real question is, why isn't Trump a democrat?

Western Civilization has been conditioned to HATE white men in power for over 50 years and hyper focused since Obama.

Period.

That is the answer.

The media has not laid out the red carpet with constant conditioning to hate him combined with the echo chambers of social media and the polarization of it through our "education" system, all of that culminates to hate white men in charge. The root cause of all of that is the programming of western society to hate white men.

They will hate Vance too.

Why is he the first President we hold to some higher standard like that? JFK is still seen as royalty here(in the states) and that dude was banging everyone. Most of our Presidents, believe it or not, were not faithful and were pretty bad at marriage.

Because none of our Presidents, while in office and campaigning, have released pictures of themselves as religious figures, sold Bibles, and had their followers say he is divinely sent from God.

They know he has full control of the military and that scares them.

Because he went after Obama on being born in Kenya... and then ran against Hilldog and beat her in 2016. He went against the elites in the establishment... and won. So, they decided he must be crushed to send a message that they run things.

Not even close to as divisive as Obama or Biden/Obama.

Biden went on national television and literally told the entire country that "White Supremacy" is the greatest threat to "our democracy".

Obviously that's a lie and calculated subversive rhetoric, but it has been the championing phrase for quite some time now.

Trump has never said anything like "blacks in this country on average are a major drain on our economy and have an exponentially higher homicide rate anywhere in the country they are concentrated."

That could be considered divisive, but it would be TRUE. However, Trump has never said that.

What is divisive about him? "YOU HAVE TO GO BACK!"

His constant beatdown of the MSM with "fake news" verbiage? Is the MSM not FAKE? Of course it is.

Like I said the other day, you’re the new sir Winston. A 3x Trump voter who complains everyday and hates the guy.

I'm sure it confounds someone who is so smooth brained that any nuance is impossible, but I'll try to explain.

You are clearly a populist, so that means that the only thing that matters to you is who is supposedly on your team and who is supposedly not.

But not everyone is blindly binary like that. Some people actually care about things like policy positions, tone, etc.

And when using those metrics to evaluate, Trump is a mixed bag and always has been.

So if a non-populist, non-binary, non-tribalist doesn't like liberal policies such as having the federal government buy into private businesses, or protectionist economic policies, or dangling tax advantages in front of certain groups for votes, or placing restrictions on firearms, then they aren't going to like them even of Trump is the one proposing them.

On the other hand, when Trump is doing things like reducing net migration to zero or restoring sanity to the military or stopping teachers from being able to actively recruit children into LGBTQ lifestyles, they'll like those policies, and they'll vote for Trump because he does support some policies they like whereas the Democratic challenger supports zero policies they like.

I don't understand what's difficult about understanding that. It's a simple formula. I'll vote for a guy whom I agree with 50% of the time rather than someone I disagree with 100%, but there's still 50% of the policies enacted by guy I did vote for that I disagree with.

Then again, if I did understand why that was so difficult to understand I would probably be just as smooth brained, populist, and tribal as you.

So I'm o.k. not understanding.

Yes, he is.

You've become acclimated to his rhetoric to the point that you don't even remember the stuff he's said.

"Go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came." Talking about a group of Democratic congresswomen.

"Why are we having all these people from shithole countries?"

"Very fine people on both sides."

"They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists."

Calling the media "the enemy of the people." Repeatedly.

"Crooked Hillary"
"Sleepy Joe"
"Little Marco"
"Lyin' Ted"

That time he shared a cartoon post depicting the Obamas as apes.
