I keep hearing it’s a big deal but don’t understand why. Is it because it will take votes from one side or other? Or is it taking votes from both sides? Who does this benefit?

Kind of how Perot funneled votes from Bush Sr. Conservatives won’t vote for him, but some liberals might thus damaging the main brand candidate.

Trumps base is lock solid. The left is all over the place and likely to swing too far left. Never Trump moderates would vote for Schultz.

He's a liberal running as a centrist. He will steal votes from the Democrats, not from the Republican candidate.

Basically, he will do to the Democrats what Perot did to Bush in 1992.

Because all the baristas in the country (80% of Dems) will vote for Schultz, taking away some of the Dem vote

Ross Perot got Clinton elected in 1992. Ralph Nader got W elected in 2000. Schultz will hurt dems.

I could see him pulling away dem votes in purple states. I think that is where the damage could occur.

Dems are already shifting way too far left to meet the AOC and Ihan Omar voters. They are misreading the tea leaves bigly.

He would sabotage the Democrat presidency like Ross Perot sabotaged the Republican presidency between GHWB and Clinton.

I hope he runs as an independent. God Speed.

Dems will be in a panic if he runs as an independent. Republicans could care less.

There you go.

Technically the ballot design in palm beach county got W elected in 2000. Pat Buchanan got 3;704 votes and over 29,000 votes tossed because 2 presidential names were punched in that county. W won the election by like 700 votes. Don’t see how anybody can doubt gore won the intended vote in Florida but old people fricked up the ballot
