The leadership loves it because it plays at the emotions of their voting base. It is THE easiest thing to get their voters motivated.
Similar to 2nd amendment and the right. Its just low hanging fruit for emotionally weak people
Anyone that doesnt have guns should go get them. They won't take them away.
that being said, anyone that isn't solely focused on things like the economy and mutilating kids, is emotionally weak imo.

Dave Portnoy went off on the ruling about controlling women. He doesn't give AF about all his hoes, he just doesn't want to have to lose his net worth to their babies.

It's sustaining their biggest voting edge. Women have voted Dem all of my life. Blacks vote Dem in a larger percentage but there are a LOT more women than blacks.
If the majority of women were opposed to abortion the Dems would not care about it.
The reason women vote Dem is cultural. It goes back earlier than the national right to vote. Women in the dozen states that allowed their vote in local/state elections demonstrated that they want LOTS of govt to take care of them. Personal freedom and self reliance scares the hell out of them.

To reduce what they consider undesirables. It's mainly aimed at poor people. Poor whites, poor blacks, poor browns.
If A poor black woman gets pregnant and if she's unfortunate enough to wander into a planned parenthood , planned parenthood will basically become a lil devil on her shoulder, whispering all the negatives involved in having a child.

But by the same token it has very little to do with their stated reason as well…they sure as Hell aren’t pro-choice beyond the narrow scope of abortion or any other hedonistic act.
