Cultural Marxism via every influential institution in targeted nations, particularly in the education systems of these same nations.

Powerful people pushing corporations and agendas world wide.

What you are mentioning are the root cause. Just the tools these people you have never heard off are using.

I'll get downvoted but the fact is when the USA moved away from traditional Christian values, thus began a moral decay that only continues to worsen.

We’ve seen this movie before. Spoiler alert: It ends badly.

How often do they have a point? Hard work in and of itself has never translated to financial success, and it’s certainly never translated to a standard of living someone thinks they deserve. Ditch diggers work hard but they make less money than a lot of people who do nothing but talk for a living, like sales.

I mean, having family in MS and LA and AL and the rhetoric of hard work = financial success has been preached for generations. Hell, some of my cousins STILL believe that

I was brought up that hard work was a necessary ingredient for success, but what made me leery about your statement was talking about what people felt they deserved. I was taught that smart choices were also necessary in addition to hard work, and unfortunately we have a generation who thinks hard work at ANYTHING should support them in the lifestyle they want, and life just ain't like that. Working hard as a welder has a lot better payoff percentage than working hard as an artist.

In large part because we don’t think there’s such a thing as Western Culture.

I believe the decline is based on a rejection of objective truth and meaning outside of one's self.

Capitalism, it’s brought us the best of things and the worst of things. It’s such a triggering word, most peoples biases and ideology won’t get them past the first word. They will think that I am promoting communism or the likes, but I’m not. I will be downvoted and the post about the left destroying the culture will be upvoted, but leftism and liberalism is a byproduct of capitalism or at least post modernism.

What you are describing is youth culture, some thing that did not exist 100 years ago. Teenagers aimed to be like their parents and other elders who they spent much time with living in tightknit community. This is how we have lived for hundreds of thousands of years up until recently. Now we have parabolic change, and no time to adapt.

It’s true media has a huge influence on us. We seek belongingness, it’s an evolutionary adaptation not just assimilation, but ascension of a system. The most popular systems we live in today, is beauty, consumerism, and then far down the line, politics and religion. If we don’t define our values and consciously choose what is important to us, media will make that decision for us. Mimetic desire.

We have traded a group identity for radical individuality, and postmodernism has created an existential crisis, where people do not know where they belong, or what they should do.

People used to know their purpose they woke up and hunted or work the field, they describe themselves as a part of this tribe or son of John, felt shame when they embarrassed their community.

now people describe themselves as quirky, creative, hard worker, and are compelled to maximize every moment of their life and feel guilty when they lay on the couch, instead of go to the gym, or don’t work the extra hours, so they can buy the nicer thing.

How does Capitalism necessarily lead to any of the ideas that followed it's usage in the above post?

The only thing more bastardized than the term “western civilization” is “capitalism”.

You don't think the progressives that are leading the demolition of Western tradition and culture don't have objective truths they follow?

It's not just another opinion that we live in a patriarchy that promotes rape culture, that's an objective truth. It's not just another opinion that speech leads to violence, or that white people have subconscious racial biases, or that the only differences between men and women are socially constructed, those are all objective truths.

It's often said, and I tend to agree, that leftism/progressivism is just another religion. If that's true, then it's no surprise that they have their own versions of objective truth.

Capitalism, Marxism, Modernism . . . any "ism" without recognizing the moral authority of the creator of the universe will devolve a society.
