Was the post allowed to stay up? If it was then what does Elon’s personal feelings about the post and the man who posted and what he wants to do to the fan for posting it have to do with his views of free speech?
If it wasn’t allowed to stay up, then you might have an argument. Albeit a very abstract one at best.
Free speech is more about protection from the government persecuting you for speaking certain things than it is “I can say what I want without any repercussions.” Hell, we learned you can’t do that in Pre-K.

Free speech does not equate to freedom from consequences.
For instance, if you were to walk up to me and call my mother a whore or said you wished to rape my girlfriend, you are free to do so. That being said, please don't be surprised or think I'm a leftist in my heart of hearts when I punch you in the face.

If the limit of free speech bans speech that offends and makes people uncomfortable, then there isn't really free speech.

I think Elon is a pragmatic Realist. As such, he (Twitter) should allow Nazis or whomever to clearly define themselves in the public so that the public can know who/how many/what the problematic people amongst are.

Kanye West is not my hero. I'm not interested in Black Hebrew politics which are race based radical black identity lunacy. If he wants to push that stuff, fine. No one thinks promoting Nazis is a good idea except the alt right. He knew what he was doing.
If Elon Musk was talking about punching him in the face, that's probably because he let him back on and he immediately and deliberately pushed something inflammatory and beyond the pale. Did he punch him in the face? No.
West knew what he was doing. I'm not sure if he was acting out from his personal issues or playing a ruse, you can never really tell with the guy. But he got what he was looking for.
I'm not going to go down with that sinking ship. There are more important things going on than West getting blocked.

His stance is about outside influence on speech not some mythical ideal of unfettered speech on twitter.. it’s about the process of regulating content in an open way not some shady back room lemmings who decide whose allowed a seat at the table.

I wouldn't agree with that.
