So what’s your fricking point?
The point is that these people who live in their lily white upper class parts of town have the luxury of looking at cops in the academic sense because they live in an alternate suspended reality where their biggest troubles in life are going to Whole Foods and finding out that their favorite organic kombucha is out of stock

Its illegal for police to strike.

Unlike what the media tells you, They care about their communities and their jobs?
Upstate New York did just lose their entire command force though

Public employees going on strike is disgusting. It should be banned.
Public employees being able to unionize and demand a pension and benefits for life that I have to pay for should be banned.

Wow. I’m convinced. You said it’s not dangerous and you offered the amazing and irrefutable evidence that they are not paid enough to be Bruce Willis characters. It must not be dangerous at all considering that rock solid argument.
Do you ever tire of looking like an a-hole or is it looking like an a-hole that keeps you going?

Agree but at some point if they are not supported, these cops should give these cities exactly what they are asking for.
And I’m not a big back the blue guy, but the treatment of police in those liberal cities is unacceptable

The stats you would need for this assessment are in the thread you can continue to ignore them if you feel like it.

I live in Brooklyn but you may believe what you want about lily white neighborhoods.

You live in an alternate reality. But even there you’re an a-hole.

Normally doesn’t happen and, when it does, it tends to be in the form of blue flu (sick out) or basically showing up to the office and then going no further than the parking lot.
All of the above happened in Atlanta after the county DA charges the cops in the Wendy’s shooting.
The city tried to pull in cops from surrounding areas to cover areas where precincts went dark but most of those agencies told them to frick off after that same DA did some highly irregular actions in how he handled a case where APD tazed some individuals.
Portland is about in this boat because surrounding areas refuse to help out thanks to a DA who refuses to charge rioters. State police have generally done the same and Portland PD isn’t responding to much as a result.

Your line of thinking is flawed.
You protect yourself UNTIL law enforcement can get to you.
Crime doenst take a day off, even if you think its ok for Law Enforcement. You dont have to interact with them to know that they made a huge difference in someone lives, example, a drug bust and saved some kids and people from doing drugs for just one more day.
What about them being role models and teaching kids in schools about right and wrong with propgrams like DARE, when a ton of parents out there think its someones elses job to do so.
What about car wrecks and other accidents? Cops are first responders. They dont stand around filming the wreck and the aftermath with their Iphones in their hands so that they can post it to social media. Accidents happen every single day.
The list can go on and on. Cops have a lot more job duties than to just show up at your house when someone is trying to break in.
With your line of thinking, I guess firefighers and other EMS can just take off 2 weeks and nobody notice because you didnt interact with them and your house wasnt the one that caught fire or you were the one that didnt have an allergic reaction to something.

This why they unionize because they don’t have the right to strike as an essential service. At least that is the law in Oregon.

This is correct. Now apply the same analysis to the BLM’s fear of police interactions.
BLM are unemployed degenerates. Police are well paid public servants. Big difference.
People who kill cops are killed , get the death penalty, or are never released from prison.
Cops get paid vacations and gofundme money.

Well, with that....there should just be an all out bounty on capping people off by the police.
Let's see those statistics or something that backs that shitty comment of yours up.

A police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.
Who should be scared? Regardless of how dangerous you think their job is.

Well in this instance your taking someone who chose this as their job vs someone who is a skin color they have no choice over so that's one issue in your comparison.
But in reality neither happens all that often. But if a cop is scared he can quit his job a black man can't quit being black to avoid the cops.

He can avoid breaking the law though but you’ve probably never considered that.
