There’s probably not one singular answer that explains all such instances, but my guess would be that it eventually becomes clear that they’re being insulted by being fed line after line of bullshite that aren’t exactly hard to figure out.

Yep. They gave the photographers time enough to film the "crowd size" and then their work was done so they split.
