Fauci initially downplayed the coronavirus, comparing it to the flu! He also opposed hydroxychloroquine while initially downplaying masks. Fauci has stated that he diminished the importance of masks to ensure that nurses and doctors would have an ample supply.

Fauci has made a wide range of statements in the past he's had to walk back. Such as approving of Tinder hookups and Luxury Cruise Ships during the coronavirus lockdown.

Anthony Stephen Fauci is an American physician and immunologist who has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) for many years. Thus, he has a level of credibility high above most medical professionals. And yet, his actions during the pandemic have been nearly comical.

Photos of Fauci without a mask in public while he publicly demands governments "forcefully" push mask mandates. Statements by Fauci praising Governor Cuomo, who's universally known to have mishandled the virus.

And who could forget when Fauci claimed that Americans "Don't believe in science and authority". That condescending attitude is tarnishing his legacy far more than any internet complaints ever could.

There really is no denying it. Fauci has made countless mistakes during the Coronavirus pandemic.

I do not expect perfection. Especially related to a new virus that is (was?) this deadly. So, I forgive missteps and corrections.

Fauci, however, IS a very arrogant little midget and arrogance and midgets bother me.

He's not a practicing physician. He's a bureaucrat. I don't trust any of them. I knew the WHO was bullshite 40 years ago. I knew the CDC was bullshite 20 years ago.

I don't hate HIM half as much as the mythological caricature the left has created around him.

He's a bureaucratic functionary. Nothing more, nothing less. Sadly, the left wants to have such people dictating basically EVERY facet of our lives.

The best Fauci moment is when he insisted that religious gatherings be limited to 10 or less. When it came to the issues of limiting protests he had nothing to say.

He's an attention whore who likes to hear himself waffle on his positions from one day to the next.

Exactly right. This has been my thought ever since I saw this on Wikipedia months ago. No mention of anything substantial since the early 2000s.

From 1983 to 2002, Fauci was one of the world's most frequently-cited scientists across all scientific journals.

And, he's allowed to continuously change his mind without the media calling him on it. But, if Trump's previous actions do not correlate with Fauci's new thought of the day; it's because OMB doesn't believe in science.

He's being held aloft as some kind of voice of god/reason, but he's just an advisor with a very narrow scope on things.

If we were still listening to him, half the shite currently open wouldn't be and a majority of people would be with zero money or food.

He never compared it to the flu. This video was made in September and we're seeing another spike or wave now. In his defense, medicine has never and will never be an exact science. Going back to what he said in January is as comical as this video.
