Remember the last time a Leftist made a cohesive and compelling argument that explained their philosophical beliefs? Yeah, me neither. There is no “ there” there. There is no bedrock, no consistency, no boundary, no bridge too far. The Left is defined only by their appetites. It just depends on how hangry they are on a given day. And what they choose to destroy on a given day. They are destroyers.

"Liberals'"or Socialists' or ANY misplaced total faith in Govt has its roots in the mental imprinting of the Prussian School System adopted by the West near the turn of the century.
It over-emphasized Obedience for Authority (aka Teachers) for future worker "drone" use -- rather than Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving life-skills.
As adults, that very same "educational" system of psychological "drone" conditioning, blind obedience, lack of Critical Thinking skills AND FAITH have merely been re-assigned to political "leaders" and "overlords" -- thanks to the Prussian School System (all strongly reinforced by MSM, Social Media, TV, and arrogant Academe).

Remember this. The government is us. We govern ourselves. It's not as if alien space invaders have taken over. (In spite of what some crazy QAnon conspiracy says.)
Back when the USA was an agrarian society in which 90% of the population lived on farms, most laws in excess of what was in the Ten Commandments were not necessary. As the world becomes more complex more regulations and laws become needed.
The founding fathers could not have foreseen developments of the 19th, let alone the 20th and 21st centuries.
After a billion doses, it's hard to call the m-RNA vaccines experimental.
Except for the kind of susceptible people who think, without evidence, the 2020 presidential election was stolen, no one believes the government can change weather.
As far as censorship goes, please look to [link=(book banning and proposed burning)]https://theweek.com/book-list/1007021/banning-criminalizing-maybe-even-burning-books-is-back-for-public-schools-in[/link] from right wingers who would normally be considered anti-government.

It’s not so much that they have faith in the government it’s that they have so little faith in themselves and therefore lack of drive to do better so they have to look for someone or something take the weight of the world off their shoulders and do all the hard decision making.
