Nothing. This is just another department a liberal put in place to take control at the federal level.... and like almost every other department with the Fed's, it failed miserably.

No. They are all different IQs. Environment does not determine success. IQ does. Read the book. It's only 800 pages.

Think of a cause that would be considered noble, such as making sure every kid gets a quality education. Govt creates the dept, hires the employees and it starts off ok. The dept expands, gets more money, employees paid more, children get less and less with the exception of some quality brainwashing. The dept ultimately becomes a job that none of the employees get fired from or have to exert any effort for. The job is ultimately a reward to communist foot soldiers that will do the bidding of their gov't when asked. The problem is never solved (children getting better education) because then they couldn't steal money from the tax payer.
Rinse and repeat this for nearly every gov't department. It's used as a bribery tool for low lifes who get permanent jobs they don't have to work. Fraud contracts to bribe their business contacts. Kick backs to everyone including some politicians that gave them the higher positions. Never let a good crisis go to waste because it's an opportunity for graft and corruption. FDA, FHA, ATF, FBI, etc, etc, etc....

What was happening in the schools that caused congress to want a federal dept to fix/address?
No one was grooming/recruiting children into queer lifestyles.
They had to fix that.

Dems created it to use money to coerce states to indoctrinate the next generation through the schools. They succeeded and while the GOPe campaigned on shutting it down, Trump is the first to do so.

It kind of did but was part of the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare which was created in 1953.
Did not know that.
Seems like the WWII vets came home and tuned out. Government went wild the following two decades.

Because there's always been a large contingent of Americans who think, "get the Fed to do it, then we'll REALLY know we care" is logical

The DOE, like every Fed program since FDR, is a jobs program. For the purpose of giving lower tiered grads a lifetime job

Indoctrinate our youth. Liberals have been running education since the end of WWII.

Look at where we ranked educationally prior to the establishment of the DoE and then after. There is more than enough evidence to show that DoE is not the answer for actual education.

Jimmie carter had to pay back the unions for getting him elected…..
It was simply quid pro quo…..

Everything they do is a way to launder money.

I’m not even sure what they do, apparently waste a lot of money.
In Texas we have independent school districts which govern everything, not sure where the Department of Education fits in

They were not able to control EVERY SCHOOL. Their plans are to create mindless robots and I think most people can see that their plans early stages were a resounding success.
