The beauty of being a Progressive is that you never have to say you are sorry. That's because you don't acknowledge American traditions, principles, ideals, and Institutions . You are Man as God, acknowledging only your own personal appetite on any given day. Progressive Dems have been finna to eat since November. Today they ate.

The progressive wing of the party is also putting a strain on the party, itself. I would have thought that Trump would do that to the GOP, but he is such a one-off oddity that I don't feel that the GOP has really changed much. Warren and Sanders have swung the Dems way left with others scrambling so much to keep up. In effect, neither party has a real leader right now. Trump is a mess and largely devoid of ideology, aside from limiting immigration (really more of an "issue" than anything approaching ideology). The Dems have who? Warren? Sanders? Unless you're in a liberal bubble, they're so far left as to be beyond the pale of national acceptability. Strange days.

For over a year all we have seen is violent hateful rhetoric coming from the left towards republicans. Today is a direct reflection of that

If you're making egregious generalizations about HALF of the country based off of one crazy guy w a gun, then you are what is wrong with this country. Thank you for your contribution.

ETA: And that goes for both parties. You could easily say the exact same thing to the opposite after what Roof did. In fact, many did. But sure, when they said it they were way off, this time, it makes sense......

Who is clueless exactly?

This is far from just one instance

CNN roundtable discussion of a Trump assassination
Broadway play
Kathy Griffin severed head
Paid thugs at trump rallies
Post election riots
Police shootings
Ferguson
Baltimore

But you trying to hold half the country accountable for it is laughable

So an idiot kills a bunch of black people and it was OK for the nation to blame white people? Have all the flags taken down, have monuments that stood 100 years taken down. That was ok for democrats?

How about a school shooting blame all gun owners? Have all the democrats wanting to take guns away from responsible gun owners?

That was ok?

Um, did I say any of that was OK?

This tendency people have to blame entire groups of people for the actions of a few is pure idiocy. Both sides do it and it's dumb.

How is that a reach? White idiot kills some black people in a church. Democrats blame confederate flag and monuments. They must come down. It's creating hate.

Liberal shoots up some GOP at a practice.

Conservatives would like to have plays where people applaud the assassination of GOP members ended.

Isn't there a whole hell of a lot more supporting evidence that recent plays heroing GOP assassination would be more harmful than a flag that has flown over state capitals for over 100 years causing someone to flip?

That POS Al Franken was only too happy to keep Kathy Griffin on his event until the following day after he had heard from lots of outraged Minnesotans.
