The Pentagon is fighting this like Vietnam. Air Power alone cannot achieve military victory, you need the total combined force, land, sea, and air. You have to hold territory to impose your will, and without unconditional surrender you've accomplished nothing.

We legitimately have not completely won a war since 1945 and that pattern will only continue.

Trump lacks the broad public support for a ground invasion, so he’s looking for a negotiated end which won’t require such a costly expensive escalation.

He should have known this going in.

We could blast them into oblivion, but then all the oil production facilities would be gone and we would have to begin from scratch. Besides, we want the Iranians to take the lead and do the heavy lifting.

This should have been obvious to his administration, which leads me to believe that he was being purposely misled into this quagmire.

We’ve been negotiating with terrorists in our own country for 10 years now.

He was probably sold a bill of goods that it would only last a few days.

I just watched the first few minutes of Joe Kent on a podcast from yesterday. He said before Midnight Hammer, there was pretty robust discussion and debate. He felt like this time around, his group was frozen out and ignored.

There, I said it. Downvote me but I am just being honest.

America is in desperate need of optimism and a renewed sense of strength.

Military conquest and success is a surefire way to rekindle the fire of the US spirit.

You are fricking insane. Were you not paying attention the last 25-years?

By who?

The military?

Bibi?

CIA?

This isn’t enough bloodlust for Lindsay Graham so would not think it’s him

Trump sure seems to get a lot of bad advice

HHTM is basically Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee on steroids. I appreciate his honesty.

Because we are acting like we are try to sole through talks, when we are just waiting out the economic pain to hit Iran with the blockade.

Because guerrilla warfare has allowed Iran to inflict pressure even when their conventional forces have been destroyed.

You can't dictate terms when the opposing side doesn't want to give up and still has moves they can make.
