We SHOULD be emptying out any vietnam war stockpiles of large bombs that have been taking up space in our warehouses. After the air was cleared in the past of any threats, B52s should have just carpet bombed the coast over and over and over. Not worrying about accuracy in unpopulated areas, just carpet bombing. Like we did in Vietnam's Iron Triangle. Just use Iran as a old bomb dump.

Because to ‘win’ a war, you need boots on the ground. We aren’t willing to do that. Iran knows that. So why would they negotiate? All they have to do is simply wait this administration out.

I suspect that Trump is holding out for a civil war among the Iranian factions.

Hillary was able to do that in Libya by providing air support to various selected factions. The down side of that was Hillary selecting factions worse than Gadhafi.
