I deal with people like that on a regular basis and it is frankly infuriating and unproductive. Lots of your posts serve no purpose other than to derail the thread imo. People will be more willing to engage you in intelligent debate if you don’t act like everyone else is functionally retarded when you respond. Just a thought.

No one is perfect, but everyone is better served when the discussion doesn’t start with a sense of you having pity on the target of your disagreement.

Reasonable assessment. In fairness, that is not difficult to achieve when the original post IS little more than an exercise in emotional histrionics, and I admit that I do tend to target that sort of post.

The uniting principle here seems to be a belief that all Dems are emotional children, incapable of rational thought or analysis. I just hold up a mirror.



I also tend to respond to posts that rely 100% upon a “fact” that is objectively, verifiably FALSE. I provide the accurate factual data, and the original poster invariably gets emotional and defensive, rather than just admitting the error. Which takes us directly back to Scenario One.
