Who is praising Putin?

I keep hearing the leftists say this
No one is praising Putin. The reality is just yesterday europe was fighting to LESSEN the sanctions on Russia. They got in bed with Russia and are dependent on them.
All while we hear from the leftists that we need to do more. Absolutely not. We are not spending one cent or spilling one ounce of American blood for some pussies in Europe that are scared to even sanction Russia. Why isn’t the president of Germany on TV trying to rally the world?
We aren’t praising Putin
We are simply saying frick Europe and frick NATO

It is the left projecting a narrative, as usual. The "praise" is not praise at all. It is simply an acknowledgement that it was a shrewd political move on his part to take advantage of the feckless and pathetic leadership of the western nations. Many of he powerful nations in western Europe are almost completely reliant on Russia for their energy needs. And the US has its own issues with a completely compromised President. Particularly with respect to the Ukraine. Along with US regime's current policy on energy and other useless virtue signaling (climate change; all in on covid, etc).
The Ukraine stands no chance against Russia in the event Russia decides to bring the full force of their military to bear. Ukraine knows that. Europe knows that. Most importantly, Russia knows that. Now, with the children in charge in the US Putin knows the only true threat to his country (not just militarily) is really no threat at all.

That being said, there is a difference between praise of actions/policy/leadership vs. praise of character.
I think Donald trump had good policies, meh leadership on the homefront, good leadership worldwide, and appreciated his tougher talk.
I don't think he is a christian, a good man, has an appropriate demeanor or manners, or has good character.
I think Joe Biden (or Barrack Obama) has garbage policies, terrible leadership on the world stage, and is actually more crooked that Trump. But, I do think he is a better spoken domestic leader than Trump and his behavior fits the office more often.
Just because I can praise Trump on somethings doesn't mean it's a wholesale endorsement of all his actions. I'd still vote for that Orange Bastard today.
Putin is a despot and terrible person. The world would be better without him leading Russia. But that doesn't mean he can't be a good leader or have some valid points about NATO (which was created to stop the now non-existent USSR) continuing to push towards him.
Doesn't mean we endorse his actions in Ukraine (it's wrong, full stop,) just that he has some valid points.
