That's the basis for the "white privilege" claim. The guy was so full of whiteness that he could dismiss such an offer whereas a minority, who is of course a broke dick, would jump at that offer.
But, it's not racist to automatically presume that the minority would be poor enough to give up the seat for the $1500.

This is honestly, true. That said, it does sort of cause one to ask the question.
Why in the frick is Tariq Nasheed given ANY credibility such that he finds his way on to news networks?

Maybe the guy bought the seat in the first place because he wanted “more leg room”. Maybe the guy was not desperate for money.

The difference in price between a first class and coach ticket on a 10 hour flight very well have been $1500 or more.
