If he had $1,500 to offer a stranger, why wasn’t he flying first class ? And if he was flying first class but knows he needs extra room still for some reason, then why didn’t he buy an extra seat ?

Cause the seat was probably in 1st class. So the man seated orobably doesnt sweat 1500, just like cam. Or maybe, he was seat next to a family member.

Two years ago I was flying out of Charlotte. Dude in a hoodie steps in front of me in the boarding line. I said “the back of the line is back there.” Guy steps back and a guy a couple of people behind me let’s him cut in front of him. People are all staring at me like I am crazy. We get on plane and people are going up to the guy in First Class and taking photos and getting signatures. I ask a flight attendant. It was Cam. I had no idea who he was. Still pisses me off he just walked up and tried to step in front of me in line. I guess that makes me racist?

This. I’m 6’5, if I had paid for a seat with legroom on a 10 hour flight it’s because I want the legroom. $1,500 is probably not all that much more than the price of a first class seat on a long flight like that.
I’d have told him no without even considering it. $5000 or more, then we can talk.

I’ve not seen where the seat is but if it’s in first or business the incremental cost over coach is way more than $1500 on an international flight.
