Iran lobs missiles at Israel.

Israel responds in kind.

"Muh, see, Israel has no intentions of honoring any ceasefire".

Good. There never really was a cease fire. It was all verbal. No documents... nothing.

Israel is acting in their best interest and trying to take out Hezbollah now so they won't have to deal with them in a year or so when we don't have such a heavy presence in the Gulf.

They will settle down. We aren't even 24 hours into the "ceasefire".

I doubt it. I hope so, but again, Netanyahu basically said today that they have no intentions of letting up on Iran, regardless what sort of "ceasefire" the US signs onto.

As the situation stands right now, of the 3 parties involved in this, only 1 is expressing an unwillingness to negotiate, and that is Israel. That cannot be argued. All 3 have weighed in on it.

Interesting how you just ignore the fact that that this is in direct contradiction to American interests

Iran is still holding the strait hostage and demanding millions for safe passage. The US has made it clear that isn't acceptable and, despite what Leavitt said, the strait is still virtually closed. Iran is not negotiating in good faith.

Hell, if it's me, I'm just pulling out of the area and telling Israel, "fine, if you want to keep bombing these people, go it alone. The US is finished with your bullshite."

This is the correct answer.

how am I ignoring that? it isn't in our best interest since there is a ceasefire with Iran and Hezbollah is their proxy.

why part do you not understand?

Never has and never will.

Too busy plotting their revenge. It’s hard to negotiate with people that don’t care about dying.

We should tell Bibi that he is persona non grata in the U.S. and put it in writing and make it official. That will get his attention. Going forward let the Israelis know that they don't come to D.C. to make demands on us to allow them to run wild in mitary adventurism. Those days are over. Also inform Ben Gvir he is not welcome along with the finance minister.

They bitch, too much and we make stop shipments of oil and natural gas into Haifa.

Right? It's obvious what should happen here. Pull our troops back home and let Israel have at it. If they can navigate this thing on their own, good for them. Iran is severely depleted right now, so now is a good chance for them to get their desired outcome there.

The US should be finished in the region. We have no business there anymore.
