When Bill Cassidy gets bounced out, not making the general election, expect this…

He will be a lame duck from now until January of 2027. I fully expect him to show his true colors and become an obstacle to the Trump Administration in every way, shape and form. I’m sure Mitch McConnell and others will also do this.

Don’t expect any significant positive movement in the House or Senate for 7 months and if either of the chambers are lost to the D’s, don’t expect any positive progress for the remainder of Trump’s term.

I don’t see that happening.

I could be wrong though.

We weren’t getting any progress anyway from these pussy republicans. Don’t expect anything worthwhile to come out of Congress anytime soon. They are too used to bending over and taking it from the rear by the Democrats.

Party Incumbents, especially Senate Incumbents, are difficult to dislodge. Party Apparatus and financial advantages from Donors and Party reelection campaign finance . All Cassidy has to do is make the run-off, and going into the voting booth people are just more likely to vote for the Incumbent (I) next to the persons name, especially more elderly and less informed voters.

There are no good candidates in that race, at least with Cassidy we know what we are getting.

I have zero doubt.

I'd be shocked if he even comes back to Louisiana if he were to lose.

He is an incumbent polling in the mid 20's...he is fricking toast. If you don't believe it, just listen to the attack ads everywhere now. It is Fleming attacking Letlow and Letlow attacking Fleming.

I think they’d both rather face Cassidy in the primary runoff than each other. Sure…Cassidy’s got $10 Million or whatever in his campaign war chest, but I don’t think that’s going to buy him past the party primary.

But if Fleming and Letlow have to face each other in the primary runoff, it’ll be a brutal next 40 days or so for both of them.

Doubtful, people have had opportunities in the past and haven’t. Cassidy has no spine, he’ll get in line just fine. There’s a chance, but I don’t think it it’s likely.

And Cassidy slides into a runoff because some voters will get sick of the attack ads. Cassidy isn't stupid, all he has to do is let the other two rip each other to shreds while ignoring him. Poor Candidates all around.

Reality is Fleming is 75 years old and is probably a one and done senator - he will never have seniority to do anything productive in Senate
Letlow is an inefficient legislator and has never passed a piece of legislation in her entirety of being in public office.

Choices aren’t great

Logic lesson: 'Stick your hand into one of these 3 boxes: A= an animal; B=another animal; C= a snake.' The logic of 'least risk' says I'm going with A or B.

Sure hope I pick the box with the lady bug and not the one with the alligator.
