Our liabilities are almost entirely self owed. The rest are primarily owned by Japan and less so by China. Neither of them want to see the USD and backed bonds fail.

This is fear porn. Our country hasn't been liquid for a century. Our money is arbitrary play money. Most countries have followed suit.

The people who will get burned are not national leaders but people holding fiat that foolishly believe it will hold value tomorrow. That applies to every country on earth.

Why the Saudis agreed to this is insane. The Chicoms are notorious for manipulating their currency. Which is why it’s hard to think of the Yuan becoming the standard.

I've been gardening, raising livestock, purchasing books from how older generations cared for plants, food, animals, and medicine.

Stocked up on ammunition and water.

In 5 years I plan to have a homestead with acreage and it will be designed for functional for living, regenerative agriculture and surviving. Solar panels, multiple wells, a large pond, etc

The U.S. Dollar must fall as the world's reserve currency. This must come to pass in order to fulfill their 2030 agenda.

If the USD falls anytime soon, the world is devolving to the 1700s.

You will be dead from looting and roaming bandits. It won’t matter. People will kill you for your food. Chicago got nothing on what’s coming.

the Yuan is gold backed today, and has been for 3+ years …. the USD isn’t.
They’ve already broken the Petrodollar, and many countries purchase oil without having to convert to USD.

The new Reserve Currency is expected to be a basket of currencies, including the Yuan(renminbi) and the USD among others.

China would need to quit manipulating the Yuan for this to even be considered. It would take a couple decades to unwind what they have done currently.

Back my real estate up with precious metals

Doubtful you will be able find any . Metals are already in short supply and most dealers have diminishing inventories with exorbitant premiums.

Elites have been buying precious metals hand over fist over the past 9 months ….they know what is coming.

Remember ….. gold isn’t an investment … it is insurance against the failure of fiat currency …..

I think it was Iron Mike Tyson that said "everybody has a plan, till you get hit".

Supply chains go down first, and there will be a period when if one has a stock of life sustaining supplies and resides in a community of good people, then sheltering in place will work for a while. Then, as the masses become desperate and begin to roam, forage and pillage, civil communities will have to unite and control their 'borders', less they be overwhelmed. Think Katrina, and the West Bank folk who sealed of that Bridge.

I told a young friend that the best strategy would be for a few of his close friends to buy old shrimp trawlers, fill em' with floatation, stock em' up and have them ready to anchor in Lake Maurepaus in a circle. Within a month, a lot of the worst, Urban heathen will be gone, leaving only the best predators to deal with. And of course, there's the 'Government'. 'Hoarding' could be outlawed, with confiscation enforced. Otherwise, plan on 6 months on the water, and hope there ain't a hurricane.

Myself, I've quit worrying and planning, as I think I'd rather head to next life, instead of living a nightmare in this one. Were I young, I'd probably jump in, form an alliance of common minded and trustworthy friends, and get that boat. It's coming.

Now, as is, I'm going with Jesus. Good luck to the Board Brethren.

I think most of us on this forum would agree the CCP has out maneuvered the US with their geopolitical strategy of shaking hands, making friends, handing out cash and trade deals vs the US, still using military threats to maintain their alpha superpower position. The US has spent trillions of dollars in military spending since WWII and we literally have little to show for that investment. Meanwhile, China has played the role of friend to the world, just trying to feed its people and develop their economy…..and the US has given China technology and industrial production that would have taken China at least 50 years to develop on their own if they could do it at all.

What’s disgusting is the US was in a near untouchable position on the global totem pole after the fall of the Soviet Union and US arrogance and greed played right into the hands of CCP.

The CCP played the role of passive underdeveloped country looking to modernize its economy and our naive government and greedy corporations fell punch drunk right into the CCP’s waiting trap. Once Slick Willie fast tracked China into WTO membership it was over for the US…..the question was how long would it take China to replace the U.S. as the world’s alpha superpower? If the USD is replaced as the world’s reserve currency it will be China sitting on top of the global totem pole.
