What's your plans if the US has a sovereign debt crisis?

As some of you know the CCP has been working for the past 15-20 years towards unseating the USD as the world's reserve currency......if this happens it would mean China is officially the world's alpha superpower.
This past week the CCP brokered a deal between Saudis and Iran for a normalization of relations and to huge trade agreement between China, Iran and SA for energy/oil with the payments to be made in China's yuan. Some will scoff at this development as no big deal but they fail to realize that China has been working on these type of trade deals more and more the past several years......and other countries are taking notice of China's economic flex. China is also stockpiling gold as is Russia and India.
If the world turns away from the USD and towards the China yuan or some other new currency agreed upon between China, Russia, Iran, India, SA, Brazil etc. the US economy is immediately in full meltdown and the consequences are very hard to imagine or easily quantified.
My understanding is if a sovereign debt crisis were to occur in the US the value of the USD would plummet very quickly and of course societal chaos would likely follow. To be honest, I'm not sure where you put cash to protect yourself. I guess you could buy various hard assets such as precious metals, real estate/farm land, commodities etc. but once the herd money moves towards those hard assets they quickly become over priced and are not really an option for most Americans.

The best plan for most of our future crisis is to move to the country , produce your own food and have sustainable back up power .

Back my real estate up with precious metals. I figure the relative value of land and gold will be fairly stable. So I have about 8-10 years of tax payments in gold for all of my land and improvements. The key is being able to pay the sheriff in something he'll accept for taxes at the end of every year. That way he won't take your land for a millage of its value.

You can LOL... but the fact is the move China made this week with SA and Iran is a direct hit at the dollar.
We, in the nation, can not see where we are and refuse to admit that we can be beat.
It is that short shortsightedness that keeps us for acting responsibly in trade and more.

At least you have a plan....most are going to be slack jawed.

The USD isnt going anywhere
As bad as our monetary policy is, every other country is even worse.

Put your money in guns and ammo. There will be millions of people unprepared, and those people will pay anything to protect themselves and their families.

He/she is indefatigable.....and they're a lot smarter than you....the USD is indestructible and will be the world's reserve currency for the next 100 years regardless of US debt or China's efforts to dethrone the USD. If we continue on the current trajectory with absolute corrupt and greedy morons running this country the USD takes a backseat to an alternative currency in the next 10 years....maybe less....the world has been watching the US very closely the past two years and they are not impressed....they're disgusted.

Move to the deer camp and live off the land!

Yes, I think believing that quaking in your boots about some loose trade association including a couple of failed states, Russia’s weak arse economy, and China is hilarious. Every nation you mentioned, and almost every nation on earth, has even worse monetary policy and a worse-situated economic outlook than we do.

None of these, or all of these together, could replace the USD right now.

This. People laugh, but it's inevitable. And, likely in the next 20-30 years.
