What’s the strategy for rallies going forward?

Is it better to keep holding rallies with 1/3 attendance, or is it better to just not have any for a while? Each one is a bad look, but which is the better path forward?

Have a downvote for being an idiot.

I think MAGA nation realizes they can’t get complacent any longer. I’m sure Trump campaign will work out some ways to guarantee better turnout.

Muh concern troll

First come first serve open seating. Remove the ability to troll's to reserve seats then no-show.

You sound really concerned about trump and his rallies.
Good.
Good.

I made a thread on this a few days ago. See below.
Trump mentioned 2 weeks ago he plans to hold his first rallies in Ok, Florida, NC, & Texas. So far no confirmed dates for anything outside of Tulsa.
He should have no issues with states that are GOP Governors or mayors
My concern with Covid and protests is that the Dems will do everything to curb Trump rallies. In Tulsa see attorneys trying to sue (OK Supreme Court dismissed so you also have to thing state courts as well).
Going forward how will Trump be able to campaign in 5 essential states that he needs to carry in 2020? They will do everything to keep physical rallies out - this isn't counting the venues that will also be under pressure to cave and not host him. Is anyone else not concerned about this?
So in looking at the current breakdown of each state by party affiliation of Governors
AZ, TX, GA, FL, IA, OH, NH - will be fine (I'm only interested in battleground/swing states)
I also researched mayors by party affiliation for the 5 largest cities in Blue States (Governors)
VA and CO each have 2 large cities that are run by GOP Mayors. I believe Trump will have rallies in both states but I personally dont think he'll carry either.
So that brings us to PA, MI, WI, MN, NC
NC top 7 largest cities all run by Dem Mayors
PA top 6 largest cities all run by Dem Mayors (Scranton run by Indy)
MI top 7 largest cities all run by Dem Mayors
MN top 4 largest cities all run by Dem Mayors (1 is run by GOP Mayor)
WI top 6 largest cities all run by Dem Mayors
As for the 2 congressional districts nobody really worries about in case of a tie but still should care
Omaha NE - GOP mayor
3 of Maines largest cities all run by Dem mayors with a Dem Gov.

It’s gonna be a struggle with the virus. Older folks aren’t gonna come out like they usually would with this going on, even quite a bit of middle aged folks won’t. I’d imagine as corona fatigue continues and we get around September you’ll start seeing full crowds again. Dude had 4-5 million viewers watching his rally last night, that’s remarkable.
Trump will win in November.

quote:ha! if you listen to the bullshite "official" numbers it wasnt even 1/3, its was 6,200 out of 20,000. which is bullshite, you can just look at the pictures and see more than 6,200.
1/3 attendance?

Good.
You think that because the place was not packed that Trump supporters were not listening? You think that Trump supporters are not paying attention to the liberal media and what is going on around the country? You think the polls actually are true?
You are going to be shocked, again, in November.

You can't reserve seats to a rally. All a ticket does is put you on an email list. Seating is still first come first serve

Uh that’s how the rallies are and have always been.

Wonder if outdoor rallies would work?
Weather would be an issue I guess

One thing they need to do is to charge like $0.25 or something for the event tickets. Or maybe $1.00 with a commitment that all revenue collected will be remitted to some faith-based charity. That'll stop all this ticket hoarding nonsense with the quickness.

he needs rallies to be filled.
better have rally in the girls gym filled to the rafters than half empty ncaa elite eight venue.

Maybe Trump should follow his own guidelines at his rallies with social distancing and recommended masking and more older people would feel comfortable coming. Social distancing will cover the "not full" talking point as well

He should've been someplace like Huntsville or Chattanooga. Could've brought in more people, and it's a truer indicator of his base.
