Are you sure they’re attacking Christians? Snopes told me the Christians are really ‘white Nationalists’ and we all know Snopes would never lie.

No they didn't. They fought and the Turks attacked and slaughtered their women and children.

And they continue to fight and are prepared today.

No they have not. I don’t look to a man to tell me what to do morally.

Start turning your enemies cheeks, inside out preferably.

I'd like to add there is a CORPORATE standard of action versus and INDIVIDUAL standard of action.

This is often confused with layman interpretations of scripture.

Paul says in Romans 13 that God appoints governments or "corporate leadership" with the sword to punish evil.

We see this all throughout the OT

In the early NT Christianity/early Jewish followers were trying to distinguish themselves from the Zealouts and those that wanted to overthrow Rome - as they were being accused.

That's a different context than now.

We are living under a God appointed government tasked with giving us the freedom to protect each other. We are well within our biblical rights and I'd even say commanded to protect the weak.

The Bible never forbids self-defense, and believers are allowed to defend themselves and their families. But the fact that we are permitted to defend ourselves does not necessarily mean we must do so in every situation. Knowing God’s heart through reading His Word and relying on “the wisdom that comes from heaven” (James 3:17) will help us know how to best respond in situations that might call for self-defense.

Linkie.

Discernment is a spiritual gift from God provided through faith, faith is given by God Almighty.

I'm fairly certain Jesus would prefer us put our faith in God and "keep our mind on things of Heaven and not of things of the Earth" rather than gun down people invading churches.

Better men than those against which we currently struggle have tried to eradicate scripture and have failed.

I agree

I do think these "fights" may coincide to an extent, considering one system facilitates faith and one seeks to eradicate it

But that's a dangerous concept IMO

Probably 1/2 our congregation carries and I’m not convinced we’re all sanctified enough to turn the other cheek in these scenarios. My pastor did prison time, too, before conversion. They may want to stay away from south GA.

In Mathew 21:12 Jesus physically overthrows tables and ejects moneylenders from the temple.

If He set this response as an example for those who were committing non violent crimes against churchgoers, wonder what His escalation factor would be for those perpetrating violence against them?

Why is the Methodist Church about to split over gay marriage? Why did the Presbyterian Church loose 30% of its members after allowing gay marriage? Why is the Pope of the Catholic Church telling Catholics to apologize for their treatment of gays while at the same time protecting the pedophiles in his church? Who brought Muslims into Minneapolis and then turned around and said dont try to convert them? It was the Lutheran Church.

You want me to keep going? Because I can keep providing examples of Christian Churches working against what is taught in the Bible for the benefit of leftists. You yourself may be immune to this type of ideology but your institutions certainly are not.

At some point, Christians are going to have to realize it's time to sell their cloaks and buy a sword.

Actually, this is the scripture I draw from mostly as far as my conduct is concerned.

Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men

Is it possible? Is being bullied into silence, beaten, slandered, interrupted, etc. living peacefully?

Rather than heed your advice, the Bible mentions turning the swords into plows.
Old testament God was violent. New testament God was not. Even with the thieves in the temple, He didnt harm the "thieves" as far as we can tell. The New Testament church was attacked and we have no evidence of them fighting back. Only Peter, when he used his sword, resorted to violence and he was rebuked.
I honestly dont think we have a green light to be violent under any condirions. Angels can intervene, God can use other heathens, whatever miraculous work needs to occur can occur. That said, I fear that I would not live up to this conviction. I have not obtained perfection
