I agree-I can't imagine there would be shoot-to-kill orders, but it will be a tense situation, and Marines aren't police. Marines are kids who have been trained in the job of being a Marine. That involves following orders with great discipline--a good thing in this situation--but also the need to kill unflinchingly when the situation requires it. Compared to police, there is basically no training in the law, de-escalation, etc. When you put Marines in a situation where rocks and bottles are flying, and give them a complex set of orders that mimic what police would do, it won't be all that surprising if something goes horribly wrong.

Exactly...all I've seen at that one building with the troops lining the street is one American flag that was being slammed to the concrete and stepped on, and then at least a doz. Mexican flags being waved....Go back to Mexico and let the drug gangs control you if that's what you want.
