Expected sarcastic meaningless OT style response.

There will always be a disconnect between law/policy/rape/reproduction. These are serious issues that call for candid open discussion without all the BS like this response tainting it. I may join back in with my thoughts if the thread goes in that direction.

I don't take my stance abortion through religion exactly (raised in a catholic family, but not religious myself). I consider myself pro-life. I just have a moral bearing to believe that it is a life. It was only strengthened when I was able to go through the experience with my own child. There is a person moving around doing things inside there. It's not just an ailment you can get rid of.

BUT, when actions out of your control such as rape caused you to become pregnant, or there is a major health concern, I do understand. I still consider that viewpoint as pro-life. If someone just becomes pregnant, that's their responsibility and I think it's despicable that we think abortion can be justified. We have cases where we hold a "dad" responsible for child support even when it is proven that the child is not theirs, but we can find it in our hearts to let a woman end a life becasue it's not a good time for her. I don't judge any individual for having an abortion, because I'm a man and I will never have to make that choice, but I still don't think much can change my stance.

Well to be fair, it was an incredibly loaded question so I responded appropriately.

It'll devolve in to the usual abortion debate (if it hasn't already), and I'm sure the same shite will be regurgitated.

I have my way of thinking and others must make their own choices.

You're so full of shite that it's seeping out of your eyeballs. If that happened to your wife or daughter, no fricking way would you force them to carry that baby for 9 months and give birth to it.

Wow, you've really got to be ridiculously out of touch with reality in order to not see this as simply mind numbingly offensive. I'd for sure break your fricking jaw if you said that to my wife or daughter after they were raped.

If only we had some kind of system to allow soon to be mothers to give up their unwanted baby to someone that wanted the baby.

Someone should invent that.

We don't have a system though that doesn't let a girl forget that every time the baby kicks or every time she vomits that her rapist is still raping her body from the grave and has ruined her for life. Sorry, but I'd abort the kid, get her in serious therapy, and try to put this behind us as quickly as humanly possible, and I wouldn't want her perceiving that she was growing a monster in her belly at all times and go even crazier over it. This kid should have never been there in the first place and has no right to live after being conceived by something as ridiculously horrible as a gang rape. Some of you are so out of touch with reality that it's sickening.

It sucks, but the fault is with the rapist, not the child.

No, not at all. This is reality. What do you think most girls after being brutally gang raped and get pregnant think "Well that kind of sucked, but at least I get to bring a new life into this world!" No they don't, except in TN Bhoy's delusional fantasy world.

Ever heard of posttraumatic stress disorder? These people don't get over this overnight, and I assure you that letting a rapist's cancerous seed grow isn't going to help it. It will make it worse, much worse actually. Every time the baby kicks, she'll think of the rape. Every time she looks down; rape. Every time she vomits; rape. Changing of her diet; rape. Giving birth; rape. It's 9 months of being reminded of your rape literally every 3 seconds. That's good for a healthy and sane mind. I'd want to provide my loved one who went through such a traumatic experience as comfortable as possible and for her to not be constantly reminded of it every second of the day. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional and completely separated from reality.

For all those against abortion, even the atheist ones.

So you think it's a happy thing to force a woman into carrying her rapists baby. Now, if that were your wife or daughter, would you be just fine and dandy with her raising the baby as a Muslim? Since the father was part of Isis, you would be doing a disservice to not introduce the baby to the faith of the dad.

Do you give the kid an Islamic name as that is part of the heritage of his birth.

Yeah, he just runs off and rapes more women while the woman gets left with the bill. I love the hypocrisy of the fundamentalists.

Life isn't fair. The "punishment" of the mother is emotional. I don't want to downplay the harm to her psyche, but in my mind, her emotional comfort does not outweigh the life of the child. The woman is going to be "punished" with that emotional baggage the rest of her life, regardless of whether or not the child is born.
