But do you understand that you can't murder a fetus?

It's not alive in the biological or spiritual sense.

Therefore you can't murder (or kill) what is not alive.

It's cells are dividing.
It is growing.
Dead (not alive) things don't do that.

Try again.

Yes. Cancer cells also live.

This is a binary situation.

Either it is alive, or it is dead.

There are no other answers.

But the health of the woman is more important than the cells growing.

Removing unwanted cells is totally acceptable.

It's why it's a religion of faith.

Yeah, funny how they never start that way. In the beginning, the religions always explain events and have solid, coherent stories. It's only later when everyone says the stories are figurative parables or that blind faith is necessary. It's what people do when their ideas cannot survive rational scrutiny.

Yep. Funny, that.

If abortion (in general) is murder, then logically it makes sense to outlaw it. It's not irrational by any means.

I'm starting to feel trolled here.

You understand that abortion is not murder right (perhaps except in your own mind)

No. Believe me. Those ISIS thugs...they believe they are glorifying their version of the sky god through their actions.

I'm sure they think that's the case. I'm sure you'll find our different ways of glorifying have very different practical applications in this world.

No not really. I have little doubt that if you had the power you'd be happy to impose your belief system on the rest of us. That is usually the case with fundies like yourself.

Nope, I live a very dull existence...clearly you have a few issues.

Why do you care what I say to them, anyway? Why is what I say right or wrong in your worldview?

Because I'm one of the morons who have to live in this society. I'd prefer that you aren't breeding morons. You know, like those anti-vaccine idiots who have allowed disease we conquered to return.
You fill your kids heads full of half truths...then we as a society get the pleasure of sorting all that shite out.

If it's the truth, I'll certainly cling to it. Thanks.

"Murder" is a legal term. It is an illegal killing. You can't outlaw something that us murder because it has to already be outlawed to be murder.

Murder is the unlawful, premeditated taking of another life. By most countries' laws, you are correct; abortion isn't murder. By God's law, I believe it is murder, so I'll continue to use the word.

Not trolling.

There are certainly some laws that I would change if I could, but Christianity is faith-based, and not something that can be forced on others.

Even dull people who live dull existences are sinners. That's sort of the point of "everyone sins".

The real issue is competing views of what is "good" for society. You think that my views are detrimental to society, but then I'm compared to ISIS who cuts of heads of children or people who don't vaccinate their own kids. My daughter is vaccinated and I think ISIS is evil. But apparently because I think it's wrong to abort unborn children, I'm some sort of plague on society.

No point in starting this conversation. I know how the Bible came into existence and I'm not a stupid person, even if those that disagree with me want to paint me with that brush. I believe the Bible is the word of God and nothing has been changed that affects the knowledge necessary for salvation or living a God-honoring life.
