What to you is the biggest issue in this country right now?

Inflation
Economy
Surveillance/police state apparatus
Administrative state
Illegal immigration
Elections
Medical tyranny
Big tech censorship
The trans/LGBT agenda
ESG and DEI scores
Corporatism
The Media
Education system
Loss of Constitutional liberties
Wokism in the Church
Unions
Chinese influence
Fake Republican RINOs
The abortion industry
The Federal Reserve
Drop in testosterone and sperm
Not meeting replacement level
Destruction of nuclear families
Fentanyl and illegal drugs
Crime and violence
At the current moment. It feels like the current state of the border and illegal immigration is our biggest immediate crisis, that could collapse this country in just a few years. Everything else is really bad, but if this doesn't get fixed immediately it feels like we are done.

Crime. Period.
Many other problems stem from that, including taxes, inflation, housing prices, etc.
There are other factors, of course, but crime has a negative affect on so many issues.

An honest news media would solve every problem you listed but I don't know how to go about reforming our current shitshow. Tim Russert died on 06/13/2008 and American journalism died with him. I suspect he was probably a Dem but he was a journalist first and foremost and used his Sunday morning pulpit to set the national conversation in a fair and honest manner.

The closest we've ever seen to objective truth seeking has been in the digital age - where the truth-loving impulses of wonderfully autistic folks have been available to all, though unseen by many.
That is not to say that there are no good and honest journalists, but simply that power, regardless of what kind, will seek to control information dissemination.
