My grandfather was a Union Dem.
If you asked that man his opinion on any political topic, he'd always align with the Republicans.
I told him one day, you know you agree with Donald Trump on about 98% of things.
The man almost had a stroke and died on the spot.
I loved him but he didn't really get into the weeds on anything. He was still voting Dem like it was the 1960s
I imagine much of their support is still the same way.
