If the owners can't keep their employees from pissing off a substantial amount of their customers, I can't help them.

Who would permit their employees, in uniform and at work to disrespect the national anthem and upset some of their customers?

Cox?
McDonald's?
Benny's Car Wash?
Delta Airlines?
Hooters?
Anyone?

Here’s my proposal:
Step 1. Turn that shite off and quit giving them your money. You may enjoy the game, but it’s A frickING GAME, your country is your country.
Step 2. Once the NFL is bancrupt and 1/2 these geniuses are looking for a job, you can play the National Anthem on your car stereo while they wash your windshield with a dirty squeegee. Voila, standing for the National Anthem.

THAT is my plan. I have already put Step 1 in full action. Reaching Step 2 really depends if the rest of you put football ahead of ‘Murcia! Either way, I don’t care. The NFL is dead to me. And ‘yes’ that includes the once sacred and beloved Saints. I stuck with them through the Aint’s and brown bag seasons... I ain’t hanging around for this shite.

My solution would be:
1) Include in their contract, that they must stand for National Anthem and show respect as any proud citizen of this country should.

2) Include in their contract, that they keep their personal politics to themselves or at least, share their views, etc. when they are out of uniform and not during game time.

And if they cannot abide by such items as posted above, don't frickin' hire them.

Some will never stand, but Trump's action of keeping the issue front and center will ultimately affect the attitude of viewers, and the baseline Paychecks of NFL Players. At some point, Kneelers teammates are going to get pissed, and dissent will undermine Team spirit, and the Kneeler's ability to focus on a high level.

Kneelers...pissin in the wind.

Do nothing. Who cares about the NFL now, anyway? Wish they would start playing college games on Saturday and Sunday. NFL? I'd rather watch a NASCAR rerun.

Like the NCAA. Always said they should have done this a couple of years ago when that dumbass Kaepernick got the first headline. No one would Have been talking about this the last two seasons. But that would have required actual leadership, which is is short supply in the NFL.

You understand, of course that your solution wouldn't work because the owners...you know, the guys who own the business...would never support it.

Ditto. I can’t thinking a strategy more likely to work than simply ignoring the whole thing. But I do understand it provides an excuse for outrage, clothed as easy, convenient patriotism.

Force coaches/owners...

I know you're being sarcastic, but one quick question...how are you going to force a business owner to tell him where he has to assign an employee to work?

And you also understand that the business owners have to agree, right? Since it's their business.

Tell them that knelling during the anthem is disrespect to everyone who has fought for the U.S and people who currently fight, it does nothing to the POTUS.

So, basically lie to them? That’s a cunning plan.

How about you grow a pair and realize that different people have different concerns.
