What if CV19 was already here in the winter? We need antibody testing.

Has anyone heard some one say they had a 2-4 week cough in November or later? Has anyone heard someone say they’ve had this virus? I’ve had several people including RNs give accounts of the same symptoms over the same timeframe that tested negative for flu. Any of you experienced this?

How could we get antibody testing?

We need to petition to make it happen.

This has been my belief all along. It's been here yet we don't have stacks of bodies or flooded ER's.

Someone posted a graph of non-flu respiratory illnesses in the US. It was interesting. But I’m skeptical still.

End of January I coughed for a week. Had to sleep downstairs so I wouldn’t wake up my wife. I thought I was going to pass out from coughing so bad. Never have I had a cough like that in my life. I actually don’t feel like my lungs are at full capacity.

A lot of you think we can magically populate these tests from thin air. Trying to synthesize a monoclonal antibody specific to Covid-19 takes time. That’s just for getting it figured out. Then going to Hybridomas to create the stocks takes even more time.

Some of you simply think these things are easy to make in seconds. Keep in mind that medical development that is worth a shite takes time and doesn’t happen overnight.

No. That’s why I posted this. This could be extremely valuable info for Americans and for our economy.

Americans had the Wuhan flu no later than mid January and probably before Christmas.

If we did then why are we tanking the economy with social distancing and closures?

Cough, chest fluid

If she was having a productive cough, it was most likely not COVID-19

I tested negative for flu in January and my symptoms matched Rita Wilson’s to a T. Same with my wife and mother in law.

Yes, I posted in another thread that my wife and I spent two days in a casino in Biloxi in the last week of October. (Incredibly smoky.)

Within 2 days of returning home we both got a sore throat and incessant dry cough that we couldn’t seem to get to be productive. The sore throat was gone in a day or two but the cough lasted into mid December prompting family members to comment about our continued coughs.

I ran a very, very mild fever at the onset so we dismissed it all as just a really bad cold and the fact we were 67 and 69 years old. We do not have a history of flu or severe colds.

This was remarkably different to the point that I often commented we brought this crud home from Biloxi.

Now it all has me wondering about its origin.

I need to add that neither of us was checked for flu. But in late November I went to my local VA Clinic for my semiannual checkup and was still coughing. My VA doc made sure I was up to date on my flu shot and pneumonia shot and had the second round of the shingles vaccine.

Before leaving I told the doc (who is very conscientious) about the casino crud and he said there had a whole lot of “coughing colds” going around and that he too was battling it a bit. He said he didn’t think it was the flu, just some bad colds. (At a VA clinic at that.)

This is anecdotal but very curious.

I had an awful cold in early January and so did my dad. it did not involve congestion, just a cough. My dad is seventy. He was way sicker than me. He had a cough and slept A-LOT. I was freaking out bc he was so miserable. I kept telling him to go back to the doctor and get retested for the flu bc I didn’t believe he actually went to the doctor, and I was genuinely worried. He recovered, and now he’s just at regular grumpy old dude (Said with love) instead of freaking me out old dude bc I was so worried about him.

Now I just I keep telling him he was patient zero And fussing at him when he does shite like go to the dry cleaners.

He thinks I’m nuts anyway, and I’m always trying to make him join my latest health craze, so I cant wait to tell him I learned on TigerDroppings that we should get our antibodies tested.
