It’s about free will. Does a man choose to freely love God and His divine laws or man and his lusts.

I think you need some context, but plz forgive me because I’m not a biblical scholar. Remember when Moses came upon a group of people so wicked that God commanded him to wipe them all out including I believe all of their live stock? When it says that god gave them over to their sins, it means that they were so wicked and evil that the most merciful thing god could give them was death. Sin equals death so by giving them over to their sins he is giving them over to death.

Btw, it’s funny you post this thread because a few days ago I was just thinking about this. I was wondering what evil would look like in the instances described in those passages. It makes you wonder how similar those instances are with todays society especially in relation to children.

Watch John MacArthur’s sermon on YT from 2-3 months ago titled:
“Living in a Perverse World”.

Away from computer so no link, but it’s not hard to find.

... I think this refers to your value of life ...

The clowns show we have now us trying to change our values of life to include murder, greed, last--- you know the big 7 ...

So right now they are trying to make you fight to have Roe v Wade and accept it forever (murder)

Everyday you are being forced to accept ...

This clown show is trying to form it's new religion --- one that is not Christian

And when they succeed, you will be forced to accept it.

Why?

Because government shouldn't have been involved in marriage in the first place.

You either have Union with God or Union with sin, so man chose sin and God "gave them up."?

Pretty good synopsis in very general terms BUT in Romans 1 he's talking about the progression of rebellion, starting with one generation that was not thankful (good Thanksgiving sermon).
He's not referring to all mankind here, but to worst unregenerates of humanity. "He gave them up" to destroy themselves in their sin and God would show no more mercy.

I think we can clearly see that government doesn't do this. Any "institution" the government involves itself in eventually ends up being worse for society.

Yes, because our government is perverse.

In these verses (vs. 24-27), Paul explains what God's judgment looks like for people and societies who reject Him. Just a few verses earlier in vs. 18, Paul states that "The wrath of God is revealed (present tense) from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." All mankind has rejected God, even though there is sufficient evidence in creation for us to know we are accountable to Him (vs. 19-20). Instead of glorifying God as Creator, mankind has chosen to worship all aspects of His creation (vs. 21-23). Because of this rejection of God, He has chosen to give mankind over to their own desires as a further downward spiral. He removes restraints over our sinful desires, so that our true sin nature is revealed. It is a worldview text that explains both the Roman culture and our own.

Paul is saying in these verses that the intensified practice of sexual immortality and idolatry IS the judgement of God (in contrast to God judging us for these deeds). Only the gospel is the power of God to rescue us from His judgment, which is why Paul is not ashamed of it (vs. 16). This is Paul's argument.

Essentially God washed His hands of trying to reach these people. Their sin was intentional and without regret or contrition so the Lord allowed them to be devoured by their sin…..God understood these people had seared their consciences beyond repair.

The Bible is a historical account of real events as reported by eyewitnesses during the lifetimes of other eyewitnesses who reported on supernatural events. It has stood for thousands of years and there is very little you can say that will dispute any of that.

Maybe your response could be moved to the clown meaningless responses section.

it's anything you choose instead of following the instructions. love your neighbor. love your neighbor as you love yourself. maybe people don't love themselves.
