Why? Why is the number not 0?
Any number higher than 0 is unacceptable. There should be no threshold number of encounters to enforce current US law and allow zero migrants into the country.
I'll also add another reason that I oppose the bill. Why is aid for Ukraine in a border bill?

On the immigration issue I put far more of the blame on Biden and the Democrats but it when folks like OogaBooga flat out say they dont support any legislation that gives Biden a win or the perception of bipartisanship working to solve a problem ...well I'm sick of that too. Roll tax increases (or tax cuts) into a veterans' benefits bill. Then when your opposition votes against it, you can tell their district its' because they hate veterans.

Describe them however you wish, but 5,000 individuals per day crossing our border uninvited is not acceptable. With any other country on this planet, 1 uninvited person is not allowed to stay.

republicans are not demanding that a Ukraine provision be included in a border bill, nor are they demanding that there be any funding for Ukraine at all, they are saying before they fund any more for Ukraine the Democrats must first enforce the U S own border and a bill is not even required for the Democratic president to enforce the border
