Riding by a bus stop today and pondering the future paths of the youths/ teens standing around.

I’m pro-AI.

Same thing as tax preparers and financial advisors?

Low level tax staff and a lot of audit are going to lose jobs to ai. The higher level strategic tax people will be alright.

Plenty of firms have been using India so hopefully ai can curb stomp that nonsense since the Indian teams suck arse

I feel truly blessed that AI cannot replace me at my job. Yet. As it stands, the more things get automated and controlled by AI and PLC, the busier I become.

Sucks for the production workers for sure, though.

They won't. You'll still need humans to do HR. They'll just be using AI themselves to do their jobs.

Yep. Company shills and AI cant happen fast enough if it cannot be controlled by the bias and subjective decisions made by the bosses.

I think it's the opposite. The high level strategic stuff is the easy part.

Firms have already been using automatic preparer software for decades for the lower level stuff. An intern can handle filing a simple 1040 in about 30 minutes with minimal training. AI isn't going to improve on that process much.

I can just see AI trying to make sense of HR policies. It will probably start a long relationship with the complainers in which it will convince 98% of them to kill themselves.

It's a great time to start "leaning" a new trade. Just have them contact the local Somali community.

Companies like Empower and Workday already have everything automated except the New Hire process.

I do believe AI should be used to maximize replacement of all government employees and officials before it is turned loose on the private sector. It does not make sense to remove private sector employment with AI prior to initiating same with government employment.

but of course, the opposite is what usually happens.

It depends on how much debt they have.

Many will end up on onlyfans.

Netflix - black mirror

Almost prophesies something similar and to be honest thinking about Elons comment their episode is even scarier.

They already do. I guarantee you the majority of anyone in HR uses Chat GT/AI to write up people/send emails, anything really. Plus 90% of them are the equivalent to the safety guy on a jobsite

HR is worthless.

Most have apps that do their work in onboarding and employee information.

ETA they have background check apps the employee generates with their SS number.

Even evals are online and too long with ridiculous self grading questions.
