The many different Iran threads, probably. I think this is the third one I’ve seen today alone. All pretty much saying the same thing.
Yeah- Trump probably overlooked the fact there is no negotiation with those who would make or become martyrs to further their cause. So many doom threads about it though.

Goal post shift. Good Lord, that’s embarrassing.

Umm priming who? Pushing who to act? The Iranian people? To rise up against their current leaders? Because, well, that ain't happening. They are STILL more scared of being beheaded by the Iranian loyalists than they are willing to rise up against them. Until that changes, without us putting boots on the ground, we won't be able to make much headway in regime change, right?

More of “doom” threads or more GEOTUS threads?

That's been an interesting pivot.
"It's not a war."
"It's not a NEW war."
"It's not a FOREVER war."
I will say this conflict is another interesting study in trying to figure out which sources to believe.

Yes, we were (and still are) right. Fighting Iran for Israel was/is a stupid idea.

A significant part of the problem is President Trump’s schizophrenic approach. He goes back and forth between conciliation and confrontation often times within hours and alternatingly praising Iranian leaders as “very rational people” and denouncing them as “scum”.
At least seven times since the start of the war, Trump has vowed to launch devastating attacks before announcing that he was instead giving talks another chance. Jus last week on Aug. 1, he wrote on social media that “the U.S.A. is locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran, at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II,” but that he would “hold off any attack” because “the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to.”
No deal has been signed.

At this point some new and very positive developments would have to unravel for it to be a win.

Like I said.. ignorance.
All over this board.
From Trump:
“As a candidate for president, I loudly pledged a new approach. Great nations do not fight endless wars.”
January 6, 2024 rally (before the Iowa caucuses):
Returning him to the White House would allow the country to “turn the page forever on those foolish, stupid days of never-ending wars. They never ended.”
2024 Pennsylvania rally:
“I will not send you to fight and die in stupid foreign wars that never end.”
Oct 5th 2024, Rally:
"I will not send you to fight and die in a foolish, never-ending foreign war.”
Just because you are not paying attention doesn't mean everybody else was not paying attention.

When the debate is lost, insults become the loser’s tool - Socrates.

Maga was supposed to change the narrative from the Neocons that wanted military intervention across the globe as a means of support for the Military Industrial complex which was so prevalent in the Bush administration as well as others like Nikki Haley and McCain and democrats like Hillary. Many republicans bought into it. Trumps been hoodwinked though.

Is this war over? Will it be over when we pull stakes and pay tolls to clear the Straits? What about when we pay their reparations? When will the war end?

I wouldn’t call going straight to insults a debate.

I hope so but I’m not convinced they have the power to takeover the savages that lead them with an iron fist.
I think we all have that hope. Not sure of the outcome, but this is how I see it.
- Time is on our side. We don't even have to launch attacks that often. Just enough to add pain. We can literally blockade as long as needed. Nobody can move us.
- The blockade daily brings harsher conditions to the people AND those in the guard. Through the occasional attack that makes them wonder if it's worth it.
- Offer a solution to the people... see if they take it.
In the meantime, the market will stabilize because there are options for the rest of the ME and their oil/NG.

It was supposed to be 2 weeks…
And it was supposed to be unnecessary after the June 2025 bombing that was supposed to have obliterated their nuclear capability
Answer this- do neocons favor what’s happening or not?

I wouldn't call pontificating with a faux question attached to it a debate
"We are now months into this and Iran holds all of the cards." A serious person who wants a debate doesn't start with this stupid of a position.
