I bought some Mucinex at the grocery store at lunch today. They had as much as they normally do. Still waiting to find that empty shelf aisle that I keep hearing about.

Ironically for those wailing about "socialism" in this thread, higher income zip-codes have stocked shelves.

Go figure!

Do you have any explanation how the presidential administration could possibly be responsible for cold medicine selling out?

Stuck in a ship off the coast?

Don't pretend your president isn't screwing things up.

I would tell you to think that over but........ you can't

My uncle owns Piggly Wigglys in Alabama. He could basically only order two aisles worth of food for each store before he hit his "quota" with the warehouse in Birmingham this weekend. Why? Because they don't have any drivers. He had to send 3 employees in vans up there to fill the vans up with essentials like milk.

bullshite. So you are just stupid. The truck makes deliveries at Walgreens every day just like it has since anyone can remember. Is there a shortage of vitamins too? Diapers? Or is there something about cold medicine at this exact time in history that is extraordinary?

You really aren't smart enough to figure out how policy is affecting the supply chain are you? I thought you were intentionally being obtuse, but it looks like you just aren't bright enough to get it.

Not saying this is what happening, but it's possible your local CVS store is being shuttered. They are closing 300 stores a year for 3 years and the first ones are being shuttered March 1st.

The 3 local CVS near me have had a few issues but mostly with TP, paper towels, distilled water and a few OTC meds too but generally are stocked pretty well.

Grocery stores it's been totally different. I swear I can't find egg noodles the past month for example.

Right wingers spout utter bullshite, like cold medicine selling out during the omicron peak is Biden’s fault, then try to crawfish away by heaping other b.s. on top. Pretty soon they will roll out Russian collusion or some other b.s.

The thread is about finding cold medicine. The reason it is scarce is because millions more people than usual have had cold-like illnesses over the past few months.

If you want to talk about low stock of washing machines, talk about washing machines. Cold medicine short supply is obviously explained.

Last week, U.S. President Donald Trump dangled the possibility of reopening the U.S. economy by Easter. Now he has changed his mind. At a White House Rose Garden briefing, Trump extended the current guidelines on social distancing until April 30, keeping the United States in line with measures taken by other nations gripped by the coronavirus pandemic to keep their populations at home. The United States has the highest number of coronavirus cases worldwide at 143,025, according to Johns Hopkins University. How high will the death toll be? A senior member of Trump’s coronavirus task force, Anthony Fauci, told CNN the outbreak could cause 100,000 to 200,000 deaths in the United States alone before qualifying his estimate, “I just don’t think that we really need to make a projection, when it’s such a moving target that you can so easily be wrong and mislead people,” he said.
