Americans Will Have To Get Fingerprinted And Registered Traveling To Europe From November
We've been doing that for about five years now. We fingerprint everyone (and simultaneously take a picture), including returning Americans, who fly into the country.
You would have been fingerprinted on your return to the states, whether or not Europe was doing it. Would you have been equally outraged about getting fingerprinted on your return?
Again, we've been doing this to them for a long time. I fly in and out of the US two or three times a year. We do it to everyone flying into the country.
So I'm not sure what all the outrage is about. You should have been outraged five years ago when we started doing it. I know I was.
Being outraged now just makes you seem...ill-informed.

Cut off the NATO funding. Bring our troops home and tell that continent assalamu alaikum. I hope they enjoy sharia law.

You may want to check. I think this is an EU rule, so the Swiss may not adopt it.

The irony of American conservatives bitching about foreign entities ensuring that they know who is in the country and when.
The irony is that more of France is becoming a shithole every day, due to the unvetted islamic fundamentalists they welcomed into their country with open arms, yet American visitors will have to be identified and vetted.
None of their rules will ever affect me, so they can make all the rules they want for Americans. Have to say, if they enforced some of those rules for everyone, there might not be no-go zones in Paris right now.

I'm old enough to remember illegals in America being placed on planes with as little as their arrest papers as ID and bypassing security to get to their future destination "home' city. Americans stood in security lines while watching illegals go right past them onto a plane.

If you were a lowlife miscreant from a Mideast or African nation then you can come and take over the country but a American citizen who would spend money to vacation abroad is treated as a criminal element

Amazing that this is accomplished through Visas and Passports...

Do we require this from Europeans traveling here? If not, then if Trump wins, we better start. We need to start putting rules on nations that our them on our people and see how they start to dislike it when it effects them more than us.

Then you either entered through an airport where the hardware hasn't been installed yet, or you did the 'preclearance' thing at your point of departure to the US.
quote:
Preclearance operates at 15 locations worldwide
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance is the strategic stationing of CBP personnel at designated foreign airports to inspect travelers prior to boarding U.S.-bound flights. With Preclearance, travelers then bypass CBP and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspections upon U.S. arrival and proceed directly to their connecting flight or destination.
preclearance
I always enter and exit through Atlanta, and they've been doing it for years there.
It is standard when flying into the country, and has been for a long time. They take your fingerprints and your pic at the same time.

So yeah, the outrage in this thread is misplaced. We did it first (according to the article we did it to foreigners since 2002. Only later did they add US citizens to the routine).

Shithole continent. The only reason that there's been relative peace over there for the last 79 years is that we enforced it upon them.

Here's the TSA Pre-Check info:
How do I apply for TSA PreCheck
So yeah, you skip the biometrics if...drumroll...you've already provided the biometrics ahead of time.
This is taken straight from TSA.gov. So yeah, we take fingerprints.

Yes. For a long time. This is basically them returning the favor, after asking us many times to stop fking doing it.

Hate to tell you, but once they get into those refugee centers and apply for asylum, etc they are also biometrically processed as well. They know officially who is there. Their problem is that they don't know how to stop it

The colonial economy would never have been viable without slave labor. Its reasonable to assume that the US would be a Commonwealth nation similar to Canada or Australia without the economic effects and degree of self-sustainability that the plantations provided. Our population wasn't high enough to do it ourselves.
We also tried to use native Americans as slaves initially but they kept dying and they figured out the African men were physically superior and more immune to European diseases than natives
It is what it is. And blacks have been here as long as whites, it’s just as much their country as it is ours. It’s time we put our differences and past aside and band together politically to stop the influx of illegals that will destroy our country and destroy our neighborhoods and take jobs from us. Adding them to the mix will only further keep many inner city black folk from being able to get ahead

The frick are you talking about?
I’ve flown in and out of the country (including to Russia) six times over the last 5 years and never once been fingerprinted.

Same.

Not once.

Only trumped by the irony of any European country demanding this information of travelers but not illegal aliens.
