The frick are you talking about?

I don't believe you. I fly in and out three times a year, and they do it every time. And to everyone around me.

And I just gave you a link to both customs and TSA explaining the procedure. So yeah, I think you're lying..

Weird to be so invested in wanting Europe to look bad that you'd lie about it, but I can't think of any other reason you'd do it.

So yeah, the outrage in this thread is misplaced.

Yeah, I would refuse to give my fingerprints to return and see where the chips fall.

What gives the US the right to fingerprint a US citizen -

Here is what google AI said to my question

quote:

Yes, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is mandated to develop a system to collect biometrics from people entering and leaving the country. This includes fingerprints, which are used to verify identity and reduce the use of counterfeit visas. The DHS is authorized to require certain aliens to provide biometrics when entering and leaving the country. However, there is currently no requirement to check out at a biometric exit kiosk when leaving the country. The DHS collects fingerprints from most non-U.S. citizens when they arrive on an international flight. The airline transmits the biographic data to the DHS, which verifies the information when it reads the traveler's passport. The use of biometrics helps to protect against entry by terrorists and others who pose a security risk. It also makes travel to the United States safer for legitimate travelers.

I do not want to give my biometrics to DHS

Article does not say citizen

ETA : didn't SCOTUS disallow most rule making... I cannot imagine they can require a citizen without it being a 4th amendment violation

Sure because having a passport and walking across the border uninvited are the same thing. And I chuckle when a piece of shite liberal chuckles because somehow it is too hard to have a state ID to vote.

I'm in Barcelona right now. Flew into Madrid from Dallas the other day. I wasn't fingerprinted and the customs guy in Spain was more worried about bullshitting with his buddy than even giving a cursory glance at my passport. Got stamped without one single question.
