Americans Will Have To Get Fingerprinted And Registered Traveling To Europe From November

quote:

In some airports, like Charles de Gaulle in Paris and Fiumicino in Rome, they are even allowed to use eGates upon landing, like they're Europeans. Starting from November, however, they will be faced with additional bureaucracy:

U.S. passport holders will not be exempt from further scrutiny when flying into the zone. Starting from November 2024, if you're an American, you should expect to get fingerprinted and registered upon crossing the European border, and there's just no getting around it:

Not going to lie, these threads usually give me a good chuckle.

All of your information is already stolen and available online to the people who really want it. Your finger print isn’t really moving the needle there.

The irony of American conservatives bitching about foreign entities ensuring that they know who is in the country and when.

Why shouldn't we have the same exact system?

You have presumably had a smart phone for more than a decade now. Any information this would require has already been stolen and stored by every sophisticated government and organization on the planet.

I am not a citizen of an EU country. So no, I don't have faux/surrogate outrage over what their governments have chosen to allow domestically.

Our forefathers completely fricked us over when they decided not to pick their own crops and run their own farms

The colonial economy would never have been viable without slave labor. Its reasonable to assume that the US would be a Commonwealth nation similar to Canada or Australia without the economic effects and degree of self-sustainability that the plantations provided. Our population wasn't high enough to do it ourselves.

I mean, it's almost like Hitler won WW2 in the long run.
EU may not be sending Jews to camps but otherwise they treat their native-born citizens as Germany did the Jews before the Final Solution.

Isn't this talking about people who fly into Europe with a plane ticket and passport?

Surely you can see the difference between that and entering your fingerprints into a database.

I really don't. Their country, their rules. If I go there, I expect to follow them.

A plane ticket and a passport offers the host country exactly zero security or assurances unless you are literally on a criminal or terrorist watchlist.

ETA: Did you have an iPhone between 2011-2018 or so? If you did, the EU already has your fingerprints.

Prints, DNA, banking, voice prints, signatures, internet presence, addresses, etc,
