I mean, clearly ripping down the statues & changing names have helped America tremendously. We're in such better shape now because of it.

How come none of the state representatives haven't give any resistance to this clown bullshite?

The state legislatures have no say.

They can change the name if they want, but I will always know these bases by the real names, and they can't do anything about the public still referring to the bases as the real names. Look at Lee Circle in New Orleans for example. Everyone still calls is Lee Circle, whether the statue is there or not.

Can’t wait for the articles scolding troops for saying a post named after a minority is a hellhole and a dump.

The base in the lovely, romantic Daleville/Enterprise, AL metropolitan area will always be Mother Rucker to me. I left a lot of puke on Tank Hill Road.

Or the Article 15 for “deadnaming” the base.

My FIL was friends with Gen Moore. He had one of those weird careers where he spent 20 years at Ft Benning, then retired and went to work in the exact same building as a contractor for another 10 years. Everyone will always call it Benning, but Fort Moore or whatever is not a downgrade like some of the other posts are facing.

democrats love the money laundering scam of the military ventures

That has nothing to do with them hating veterans. They view military members as cannon fodder for them to enrich themselves.

I have a relative who is close friends with Hal Moore. They served in Viet Nam together. Moore is as good a soldier as has ever lived. There is an outstanding movie about Moore, We Were Soldiers, played by Mel Gibson

The Confederate general's names for these bases were chosen because at the start of WWII it was going to be hard to get Southern boys to join otherwise.

Communists always try to erase history.

One should have been named Forty McFortface. Also what about great American patriots and martyrs like George Floyd and Trayvon Martin. Maybe Jesse Jackson and Reverend Al?
