And not the tree-fiddy trees either

quote:

Data Firm Claims Racism Causes ‘Tree Inequity’ in U.S. Cities

quote:

An analysis from a geospatial data company argues the number of trees planted in different neighborhoods nationwide is unequal along racial lines, and says the threat of “tree inequity” is real and growing.

San Francisco

quote:

Trees are hugely important to a city. Not only do they enhance its aesthetics, but they also provide wide-ranging environmental and social benefits.

Planting trees ain't going to help you...clean up shite, drug needles and homeless camps and that will be a start.

So, SF is racist?

tree inequity

Considering how long it takes a tree to mature, the demographics and economics of most neighborhoods are going to change in that time frame.

It’s true there are very few trees in the black areas of especially Midwest cities like Chicago Minneapolis and Milwaukee. Just tons of concrete and litter.

Black areas in the south aren’t as stark and you’ll find more trees in historically black areas of NO and Atlanta

It's widely known in woke academic circles that trees are racist AF.

I was told that AA live in urban areas and aren’t they responsible for their on aesthetics ?
Those old cities have older established trees as well , most are quite nice looking .

I'm excited about the next woke liberal who will call for the suburbs to cut down their trees for a more equitable distribution

Wasn't there an article written a few years ago that trees were considered a sign of gentrification and therefore racist?

That was like 3 or 4 days ago, what difference does it make?

There was a song written about this decades ago.

There is unrest in the forest
There is trouble with the trees
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas

The trouble with the maples
And they're quite convinced they're right
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light

But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade

There is trouble in the forest
And the creatures all have fled
As the maples scream "Oppression"
And the oaks just shake their heads

So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights
"The oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light"
Now there's no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw

Why don’t ghetto blacks start planting trees? Or do white people have to do that for them as well?

Before they made this profound observation they obviously weren't aware of what happened here not that long ago during one of the more extensive renovations of the projects.

At one of them they planted a large number of young lob-lolly pine tree seedlings in front of the entrance to the complex which when grown would've given an appealing, pastoral look to the complex.

By early the next morning, every one of them had been pulled up.

No. No attempt was made to re-plant them.

Any other similar occurrences across the land for these taxpayer financed projects.
