I'd really like to find out. If I was so overwhelmed with guilt by my wealth, I promise you that no governments would be on my list to receive a penny.

It takes a certain kind of person to believe that governments are the solution to societal problems, and it's the same kind of person who believes that governments should forcibly confiscate wealth from everybody. Those people are thieving Marxists.

Is there anything at all stopping them from sending in more money to the government?

These idiots know that no one is stopping them from giving other people their money. They can go to any college campus Bursar's office and pay as many people's tuition as they'd like, they can give houses to as many people as they'd like, they can go to any store choose a person and pay for everything for them. They really don't need the government to do it for them.

So two people who inherited their wealth, one who can renounce his American citizenship if the rules don’t end up in his favor, and a costal elite-educated tech founder who’s company is in bed with the FedGov.

Got it.

Correct

Tax the wealthy is code word for, we need more from the middle class. That is who is affected most.

Wonder why they aren't doing this privately instead of wanting it forced on them via taxes?

Oh, it worse than that.

Like Gates and Buffett, most of these folks have their money squirreled for delivery into tax avoidance Foundations. They'll avoid any tax via funding "charitable" endowments abroad which will be accessible in various ways by their progeny in near perpetuity.

Wealth taxes are for the rest of us.

The “guilt” is what I’m more interested in. What is the source of it? Why do they hate their money- earned or inherited?

These assholes might as well keep their money if they're going to waste billions on this nonsense.

How about food for impoverished American kids, shoes for kids, Habitat for humanity.

How about helping people instead of Man-Bear-Pig problems.

No one is stopping then from stroking a check.

BTW, the Constitution (specifically, the 16th Amendment) does NOT authorize a wealth tax.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the purpose of the tax code.

That said it would be so much better if, I don't know they gave raises to all their employees. But as we've seen "trickle down" has already proven to be a giant myth.

Then voluntarily pay more taxes. This is not difficult. As another poster said, donate your wealth and leave us alone. I truly despise these Lefty pieces of crap.

Well, if St. Soros commands it, then let it be done...

You know, there are no laws stating that Soros can't donate his wealth to the poor. Wonder why he only wants tax increases and doesn't donate his entire wealth?
