What do you think? Was President Trump correct in calling it a "Big Fat Mistake?"

What war? Congress hasn’t authorized a war yet, right?

Special military operation?

If the end result was no nuke capabilities, then yes, Trump was successful.

I do believe he wanted to assert his will after the primary mission was completed and it backfired.

Actually, SDV, I have accommodated you and removed the comparison.

Was President Trump’s assessment correct?

We have a retrospective on the War in Afghanistan. It was a mistake. Let’s see how Iran plays out. Your argument is comparing Apples to Oranges at this point.

Iraq wasn't a war either. It was an "authorized use of military force."

So my answer is that President Trump was wrong in that clip. There was no war in Iraq!

When the War in Afghanistan kicked off, the US National Debt was 6.2 Trillion. It’s 40T now. So might be something to consider when starting a new one.

Ummmm, Trump criticized the Neocons who lied us into attacking Iraq. He wasn't in office then. His criticism of the stupidity of that attack which killed at least 3,500 American serviceman was what cemented my support for him.

Watch the very short video of Trump:

Fair point. I am not a Fan. But I also was not getting the Intel. If Iran is neutralized it will be a win for the ages. If not it will be another Blunder.

Iraq War veterans: from your experience, was the War worth it?

Thank you for your service. More than 99% of us don't have your perspective.

Looking back (unfair...hindsight is 20/20), do you think our invasion and occupation was a good thing?

Congress voted on it and supported it for over 20 years. The national defense service medal was reauthorized when they started it and operation Iraqi freedom service medal was created. You can’t say the same for Iran.
