Ironically, we won the war in Iraq and achieved all objectives.
But no one in their right mind would call it a successful war.
The precipice for going into the war.
The timeline to get out.
The amount of casualties (wounded and fatalities).
Iraq, today, is much better for having the war. But given what we know on the interim, everyone who was for going into conflict was wrong.

It wasn't a mistake, because it was all orchestrated long before. The hawkish Bush family got their wishes. BUT, for America as a country? Of course it was/is a bad thing. Name one thing other than "we got Saddam" that benefitted our country and it's people?

Yeah, because 6-7 years before we did, the PNAC (Both Bush's cabinets) said we needed to prosecute "Two theaters of war at the same time to project America power globally".
The fact that people are still debating Iraq, Afganistan, why we are in a proxy war with Russia, and what we are doing in Iran is just completely baffling to me. They wrote it down on paper for you like a roadmap 28 years ago.
