re: Warnock vs Walker Debate On Now

I'm delightfully surprised!!
Although it wasn't exactly of Lincoln/Douglas quality, I thought #34 held his ground, and even may have gotten the best of his opponent. He answered the questions with "yes" or "no" answers while the reverend did the ever present two-step shuffle around all of his.

Herschel is what he is but at least he's genuine and not afraid to answer a question. I know politicians make lawyers envious in their ability to talk and say nothing but Warnock has taken it to a new level tonight.
Dude won't answer anything.
How have voters in this country allow this BS to happen.
If you are running for office you should be forced to answer a direct question, directly
Do you want to expand the Supreme Court? Yes or No
If you refuse to answer a simple question, you should be disqualified

Same here. I only saw the last 10 minutes but Walker surprised the heck out of me. Warnock, by contrast, seemed weak

What happened to him?

Walker just needs to look moderately competent and honest. Anything better than that is gravy

Walker got loose, turned the corner, and blasted past Warnock for the win.
Genuine is what we need and will get with Senator Herschel Walker.

I have said on here numerous times, Walker is an honest and genuine guy and that is shows when you get to see him speak.
I work on his campaign and have heard speak several times and while it might not be as smooth and slick as Warnock, he says what he means and means what he says!
Warnock showed us what the snake oil salesman he is. Just a soy boy!
I am pumped tonight!!

As much as I hate Warnock and what he represents, seeing Walker win the nomination blew my mind. As a candidate we couldn’t have nominated a much shittier candidate from the pool we had. Warnock is so vulnerable, this is the best we could put forward?!
That said, given the choice, Walker is still better than Warnock and his ilk. It just kills me that in an election where the incumbent is so vulnerable, we nominated such a weak and compromised candidate resulting in a race that should never have been this close. We all know what dipshit(s) propagated that.
All that said, can anyone provide a realistic, nonpartisan, non fan boy view of the debate? I understand the hurdle for Walker to win, or look good at least, was quite low. Did he really overcome the MSM criticisms that he has been battling?

Reddit r/Georgia is melting and saying Warnock is not a good debater. Also saying that Herschel slammed Warnock for voting with Biden 96% of the time, and that Warnock had no answers for it.
Just from looking from that subreddit I think Herschel looked pretty damn good

They were also obviously purposely cutting Walker off not sure why

Okay, but if he was actually going to be defeated one other candidate had to run and have lots of funding in order to increase his name ID. We know from Kemp that GA voters don't just do whatever Trump wants, but they actually need one, well-funded alternative option.

Nothing wrong with Walker. He's honest, and is a guy that lines up with what the people want.

Lol. Seriously? Like he is going to be an independent voice within the party? Do you think if he’s elected, Walker will stand on the floor making an impassioned plea for any independent thought? Say considerations to subsidize peanut and soybean farmers if it bucks the Republican Party line?
This race is nothing more than a choice whether you want the Democratic Party line or the Republican Party line, because both candidates will tow that line as they are told.
I hope it’s Walker because that would be a hell of a lot better than the Democratic option. But anyone who thinks Walker is some kind of genuine, independent thinking man of the people is an idiot. He will vote whatever he is told to vote by Sens. McConnell, Thune, Crapo and the rest. Stop pretending that he is some kind of quasi-populist man of the people. IRL he is a kinda of a piece of shite. It just so happens his opponent is an even bigger piece of shite and threat to the American Dream.
